This is a video Savannah posted a few hours ago. She says when she
found out that word had got out she decided to tell the S50 cast she
won. Her plan was to keep that a secret. Looking through the comments
I see that she says she doesn't think it was Rizo who ratted her out
and I agree. It was most likely Kristine and MC.

I think it's only fair that the other players be told how she (and
Rizo) did.-a After all, everyone knows how all the other players did on
their various seasons.-a Why should she and Rizo get a pass just
because of the random timing of when their season aired?
Because they had next to no recovery time after they played their
season. There was nothing random about when their season aired. It aired when it was scheduled to air. They also had no time to form pregame alliances other than with each other which they had already done the entirety of S49.
If anything, they should have a slight advantage in having played the
game so recently and not requiring the normal adjustment period of
getting used to being on the island and away from civilization, etc.
They also know all the producers and all the current protocols, etc.
Even for Kyle and and the other New Era players who have been away from
the show for at least a year, there would be a period of adjustment of
getting back to island life and the day to day routines.
The randomness is being selected for a returning player season where
your season hasn't even aired yet. That's only really happened once or
twice before.
You're right they didn't have a chance to form pregame alliances except
with one another, but that alliance with one another isn't nothing. You
have to wonder about someone like a Jenna Lewis who never played with
any of the other players and how successfully she could form advance
alliances with players she probably never met.
Besides, everyone else could see that the other two tribes had a
previous winner, so it would have been an obvious inference that
Savannah won.-a Much better to get that all out in the open.
I see people mentioning that as if the producers couldn't change things
up. There's been a winner who immediately returned just weeks later to
play again. If people think Jeff and company were going for balance then
why no pre New Era winners? Rizo and Savannah both could have lied and
said neither one of them won. The others wouldn't have known better
until after S49 aired. But thanks to whoever screwed Savannah over, it's
a moot point. She had no option but to come clean.
A big part of why there were no old era winners is that Jeff made a
point of saying that no one from Season 40 would be returning, and all
other prior winners were themselves ruled out for S40. Who's really
left among non-S40 winners? Vee? Brian Heidik? Fabio? Tommy? I can't
think of any pre-S40 winners (other than maybe Richard Hatch, who had
other strikes against him) who would be on a par with the New Era
winners selected for the show.
