CBS released episode details about the S50 premiere. Dalton says the
premiere is actually the first two episodes aired back-to-back. What
jumps out at me is that someone gets injured in the first IC.

rCLEpic PartyrCY rCo 24 returning players are abandoned on the islands of Fiji for a monumental 50th season, with the chance to win $1 million. The
theme of the season, rCLIn the Hands of the Fans,rCY quickly materializes as decisions from the fan vote swiftly and forcefully impact the game.
Castaways reflect on how much they have changed since the last time they played the game. Then, an unforeseen injury during the first immunity challenge causes tribemates to rethink their attack strategy in order to support their team member, on the historic three-hour season premiere of SURVIVOR 50, Wednesday, Feb. 25 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS
Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+
Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. Jeff Probst
serves as host and executive producer.

That's good clarification that what we thought was a three-hour premiere
is actually the first two 90-minute episodes aired back-to-back. Not
saying it's the case here, but sometimes when a show combines its first
two episodes like that, it's because the network feels the first episode
is either too weak or too boring to stand on its own. Be interesting to
see if that's the case here.

I'm pretty sure it's to make a big deal out of S50. Don't forget that
they'll be airing 10 "classic" episodes leading up to the premiere. It
would look bad if they air some two-hour classic episodes and then the
S50 premiere is just 90 minutes.

My prediction for who gets injured is that it's a New Era player. The description makes it sound like whoever got hurt was able to stay in the
    game.
