• Rob doesn't have high hopes for Rizo and Savannah in S50

I can't tell from which podcast this clip is from but it was posted just
a few hours ago. I find it interesting that Rob is questioning if the
people in S49 felt Rizo. The edit made it look like everyone was cool
with hi. It was Savannah that some had an issue with.

This support my theory that as complete unknowns they should be the
first people targeted in S50. All the other players know one another
and what their games are, but these two are complete mysteries. On one
hand, you have this obviously physically fit young woman who is
articulate and on the surface seems like a formidable player and on the
other hand you have this tough-sounding kid from the streets of New York
who probably can't help coming across as a blowhard and know-it-all. If
    I were a returning player, I wouldn't take a chance on either.

Russell and Amanda both made it to the end when they returned as
unknowns. I would say they both looked like bigger threats than Rizo and Savannah. What might kill Savannah right off the bat is the tribe split
with one winner on each tribe. There's no way she can hide from that
unless the others think production is screwing with them and there's
only two winners. Do you think Jeff will come right out and tell
everyone that Savannah won and Rizo finished fourth?

But that was a different time back then. I don't think the players were
as smart or strategic as they are today. Look at JT's naivete in not
even thinking that Russell could be a problem when he write that note. Nowadays the returning players will have 50 seasons of history to think
about and I just think they will be a bit craftier in considering these
    two unknown players.

That's an interesting thought that hadn't occurred to me. He definitely didn't do that with Russell. Amanda was a different case because it was
a Fan v Favorites season, so there were already several new players and
she was probably just treated like another fan. In the interest of
total disclosure and putting everyone on the same level, maybe he will
tell them right up front in S50. It would make a certain amount of
sense especially since Amanda's status as a winner will become obvious.

A lot of the old school players think pretty lowly of the New Era
people. I agree with you that the New Era players tend to be smarter and
more strategic than their old school counterparts. A big(?) part of that
might be due to the shorter game and more powers floating around. Beware Advantages and SITDs, for example, are totally New Era. Is S50 going to
have these powers? With the celeb nonsense my fear is that luck will
play a way bigger role than normal.

To be fair to Savannah I think he needs to tell everyone how S49 played
out in terms of how she and Rizo finished. I can see the players also questioning why just three winners and why they're all from the New Era.

Wasn't this one of the things, along with idols, the fans supposedly
voted on? My guess is that casual viewers probably make up most of the
vote and would probably want both advantages and idols.
