This is quite the clip. He specifically mentions Tony and Sandra but
says Savannah is a "good" villain and so is Gen.

Which is why some people will call the new Survivor boring.
They are making it so some of the reality drama that was so common in
    the past never happens.

He seems to be confusing the word "villain" with good, strategic player. Savannah, Gen and even Aubry are just competitive, strategic and serious players, and if he wants to call that the new "villain", I just say
    whatever.

But a lot of that drama was because it was all so new and people were
just learning as they were playing. After 50 seasons, everyone is an
expert now and has seen the seasons and knows all the strategies, and
most players have pretty good self-awareness and awareness of everyone
else's games. There are still exceptions like Coach and Joe who really
have no idea of what's going on, and you'll always have performers like
Devens or Q who are just mugging for the cameras, but the playing field
has really leveled a lot over the years which is why the show is always introducing new gimmicks. They will never be able to recreate the magic
    of the early seasons.

Totally agree. Jeff seems to buy into the worst takes on SM at times.
I'll never understand why Savannah was vilified from the start by some fans.

S41 to S43 had quite a few villains from what I recall. Karla, for
example, was pure evil. It's funny that Jeff never saw Rome as an
asshole. There's really no other way to label him based on the things he
    did Sol.

Tony and Sandra were not rCLvillains". Neither were Savannah
or Genevieve. Survivor hasnrCOt cast true villains for ages.

Don't forget Jeff says he is trying to target a much younger group.
One that would not enjoy the old style villains.

Jeff Probst says he has a much more of a playful sense now and he is
trying to target 6-11 year olds with the types of stories they tell on

If he wants to target 6-11 year olds, why complicate the game with so
many convoluted advantage? Does he think the average 6-year old would
really understand what a Beware Advantage is or Knowledge Without Power
or the intricacies of the Billy Eilish idol?

Do advertisers want the show to target 6 to 11 year olds? I always
thought it was the challenges that kids that age enjoyed. I doubt too
many of them can comprehend the strategic aspects of the game let alone understand the advantages. The SITD is probably too much for younger
    kids to grasp.

As for the stories, how many New Era storylines appealed to that age
    group? I'm guessing very few.
