Tonight's episode is titled "A Side Dish of Chaos" and it's two-hours
long. From what I can make out from the promos, it looks like will see
MrBeast twice in the episode. Once at the Survivor Auction and then
again at TC. I'm guessing that the "Beast Games-Survivor 50" coin shown
in the intro will come into play tonight. Will it be inside the Beware Advantage briefcase? I'll be blown away if a successful flip of the coin results in the prize money being doubled. If it does, kudos to everyone involved for keeping it a secret.

As for the game aspects, how much longer can Devens get away with the
    nonsense he's been pulling?

I thought tonight's episode was actually pretty good. The MrBeast twist
kind of played out how I thought it would but with a lot of bonus
content that I was not expecting at all.

    Some episode comments.

--I was expecting a scramble to find cash before they did the auction. Instead, it was everyone was given $500.

--The Comfort-Chaos dynamic of the auction was interesting. Unless we
weren't shown everything, it seemed like the vast majority of items were comfort only. Some people got some great food items. Ozzy got an entire
    huge cake plus the chicken.

--What would have happened if not everyone had agreed to put in $20 for
the last item or if people had spent all their money? Would MrBeast have
been sent packing? I was expecting his briefcase to be an actual auction
    item.

--Going straight from the auction to the IC was kind of cool. If it had
been a physical challenge that would have been very interesting.

--Tiff was very impressive in the IC and deserved to win. Rizo sucked as usual. It's good for him that his strategic game is so above average.

--I was not expecting to see Jeff and Rizo throw shade at Savannah.

--Is Aubry going to win S50? The confessional about Michele was easily
the closet thing we've seen so far to telegraphing who's going to win.

--Jonathan did not look good when they were scrambling back at camp
after the IC. He's not at the same strategic level as some of the others.

--Devens played the MrBeast twist perfectly. He had nothing to lose volunteering to toss the coin. The fact he chose correctly to save
himself, earn a real idol, and double the prize money to $2 million
probably will buy him some safety for at least the next two TCs. Then
the way he destroyed Jonathan and Steph at TC was very impressive. He
got Steph out and probably ended Jonathan' game. The only person not
impressed with Devens tonight was Joe. There will likely be a showdown
between those two before the season ends.

Based on a promo late in the episode, it looks like Billie Eilish is back.

Yeah, next week is going to be wild when we know at least three people
will potentially be safe if they play their idols. Could be a fourth
person that is safe if some one other than the three with idols wins
the individual immunity idol. That would explain the panic we see in

I thought tonight's episode was actually pretty good. The MrBeast twist
kind of played out how I thought it would but with a lot of bonus
content that I was not expecting at all.

I thought it was over-hyped and kind of a letdown, actually. Having everything come down to a 50-50 coin flip just seemed kind of contrary
to the spirit of the show.

    Some episode comments.

--I was expecting a scramble to find cash before they did the auction. Instead, it was everyone was given $500.

the last item or if people had spent all their money? Would MrBeast have been sent packing? I was expecting his briefcase to be an actual auction item.

This was my biggest problem with the episode. There must have been some shenanigans going on to guarantee that everyone would have $20 left
since we have seen many auctions where at last one player ended up
spending all their money on an item, especially late in the auction when
they sense it was one of the last items. I wondered if they were all
told off camera to leave $20 for the end or there was some nonsense
where Jeff gave everyone an extra $20 for some reason.

And how could they anticipate or guarantee that everyone would agree to
spend the $20 at the end? There had to0 be more to this than meets the
eye or some alternate way to guarantee the twist.

I heard the shade but didn't really understand what the point was. I
think I'll have to go back and replay that part.

--Is Aubry going to win S50? The confessional about Michele was easily
the closet thing we've seen so far to telegraphing who's going to win.

It was certainly her best edit of the season. I don't know if it means
she wins, but I can see her making it to the finale. She's been playing pretty well, but she's also still a target.

--Jonathan did not look good when they were scrambling back at camp
after the IC. He's not at the same strategic level as some of the others.

I agree. He's just not that smart and you can start to see other
players out playing him. Devens in particular really did a number on
him. I've been saying for a while that his edit this season has been
    really bad.

--Devens played the MrBeast twist perfectly. He had nothing to lose volunteering to toss the coin. The fact he chose correctly to save
himself, earn a real idol, and double the prize money to $2 million
probably will buy him some safety for at least the next two TCs. Then

got Steph out and probably ended Jonathan' game. The only person not impressed with Devens tonight was Joe. There will likely be a showdown between those two before the season ends.

Thing about Joe is he's not getting that great an edit either. It's not
that he's getting a bad edit - I just can't see a path for him to get to
the end. And if he does get to F3 again, I think it could be a repeat
    of his last season.

As weird as it sounds, I'm starting to wonder if we might somehow see a Rizo-Cirie-Ozzie finale. I really don't want Cirie anywhere close to F3
but she has had a way of hanging in there this season and time is
running out for th others to realize how dangerous she is.

to the spirit of the show.

I'm seeing nothing but praise for the episode online. I think most
people, including me, were expecting MrBeast to be a disaster.

So you're basically saying people liked it because it was better than
what they were expecting from MrBeast. In my case, I had never seen
MrBeast and had no idea what to expect. I was expecting something with
a bribe for money or something involving the suitcase, maybe a DOND kind
of thing whre you can trade the suitcase, or at least something with
some pizzazz and hopefully an element of skill. I really thought it
could be a case (no pun) where people might be offered money to leave
the game, since we know they still have more players than normal for
this point in the season, or players at least having to compete in some
kind of challenge at TC or something interesting. To see everything and
all that hype reduced to just a coin toss seemed like the ultimate
letdown and just poured more water on those who say Survivor is as much
a game of luck than skill.

And TBH I actually wondered and still wonder if the coin was rigged to
come up Heads. The show got a lot of mileage out of the doubling of the
prize money, much more so than it would have if it just been Devens
leaves the game. I'll have to go back and watch if the coin was always
in view after Devens made the call or whether they could have switched
it out. I know they are not supposed to rig the game to favor any one
player over another, so in that sense a rigged coin is unlikely, but
this just seemed way too fortuitous.

And by the way, lost in the shuffle of all this is the fact that they
still have too many players for this point in the season. I wonder if
we will see more double or triple elims or if perhaps instead of final
three, maybe we will see a final four or five? That would be weird but
maybe consistent with the weird things they have been doing this season.

--Is Aubry going to win S50? The confessional about Michele was
easily the closet thing we've seen so far to telegraphing who's going
    to win.

It was certainly her best edit of the season.-a I don't know if it
means she wins, but I can see her making it to the finale.-a She's been
playing pretty well, but she's also still a target.

--Jonathan did not look good when they were scrambling back at camp
after the IC. He's not at the same strategic level as some of the
    others.

I agree.-a He's just not that smart and you can start to see other
players out playing him.-a Devens in particular really did a number on
him.-a I've been saying for a while that his edit this season has been
    really bad.

I can still see him being the no-vote F3 player.

I'll have to go back and check - have we ever had a player finish as
no-vote finalist more than once? I think even Russell got a stray vote
or two in one of his two finales.

--Devens played the MrBeast twist perfectly. He had nothing to lose
volunteering to toss the coin.
There will likely be a
showdown between those two before the season ends.

Thing about Joe is he's not getting that great an edit either.-a It's
not that he's getting a bad edit - I just can't see a path for him to
get to the end.-a And if he does get to F3 again, I think it could be a
    repeat of his last season.

Joe is getting the same edit he did in S48 when it comes to game play.

As weird as it sounds, I'm starting to wonder if we might somehow see
    a Rizo-Cirie-Ozzie finale.-a I really don't want Cirie anywhere close
to F3 but she has had a way of hanging in there this season and time
is running out for th others to realize how dangerous she is.

Ozzy has to realize that if he's at the end with Cirie that he's
screwed. She's saved his butt so many times and is the one making his
game moves. Rizo at the end would be interesting. He might be able to
    talk himself into a victory.

If they do come to their senses and get rid of Cirie (and I was glad she
was at least mentioned tonight as a possible vote-out), a
Rizo-Aubry-Ozzie finale might be interesting. I think Rizo would edge
out Aubry, but you could maybe see some of the old-timers like Steph and
    Cirie throwing votes to Ozzie.

I just watched a clip Dalton posted from his exit interview with Steph.
She definitely makes it sound like two players will pay the price for
not staying loyal to her. She's probably misleading people because if

Dalton would be told to keep quiet.

It was pretty well expected by everyone that his
    would be something big.

As for Emily she did give something away but really only for anyone
that didn't know Mr Beast was coming up. Once you knew he was coming
it was clear something big was going to happen and it likely involved
lots of money. I don't know what Eliza is up as I only happened to see >>>> a video from her for the first time in years a few weeks ago when she
made a video about the issue with Virginia and the Supreme Court.

IIRC, the preview last week showed MrBeast and Emily did her Q&A after
that. Unless someone skips the preview they should have known he was
going to be on this past episode. My fear about Emily's video was that
it was an early parting gift. I thought she might be subtly trying to
tell us that she was going to get screwed over by the MrBeast twist.

As for Steph and Eliza, last summer Steph did a live stream where she was >>> very drunk and said some very nasty things about Eliza. She made some
antisemitic remarks and came across very badly. Then Eliza responded but >>> she posted the video only to her Patreon people. It's been nasty between >>> them ever since.

I guess that's a thing with Steph. She seems to have an issue with
Cirie that's been going on for a while. So it seems that Steph likes
    to create her own drama.

That could very well be true. I have no idea why she hates Eliza. I
wonder if Steph will be a bitter juror. Can you imagine if Cirie finally makes it to the end and then loses because Steph wouldn't vote for her?

I hate to state the obvious, but if Steph indeed made antisemitic
remarks about Eliza, isn't it possible she may also have a racial thing
going on with Cirie. After all, antisemitism and racism often go hand-in-hand.

Fair warning, if you don't want spoilers then you might want to stay

to defend her game play. Now she's making posts that seem to be
spoiling who is going to be voted out next. It kinda fits give with
three people holding immunity idols the number of options to vote out
    is limited.

I continue to be amazed that the show allows contestants to post on
Twitter like this during the season. They have strict rules about what
they can and can't say in exit interviews, etc., but the show really
takes a lackadaisical approach to social media posts like this. I don't >>> get it.

Well, to be fair I have not seen anyone come out and say who wins or
who is going home next. I'm sure that happens but it is all done
behind the scenes. What is happening is people like Stephanie keep
hinting at things that are going to happen. Never actually says what
will happen but puts out enough hints that people can see what she is
suggesting without having clearly broken any prohibitions on
    disclosing information about upcoming episodes.

I just watched a clip Dalton posted from his exit interview with Steph.

    https://x.com/MlSERYEMPIRE/status/2050314995632586779

She's so messy. Is she even watching the episodes? As Dalton said, what Steph said in her exit interviews was not aired.

I don't have a problem with players talking about things that weren't
shown in the episode where they were voted out or prior episodes. For example, Steph told Rob in some detail all the food rewards we didn't
see from the auction. One interesting tidbit was that Rizo won a big
food reward but couldn't eat it because it made him sick, which drove
Joe for one crazy because he would have been more than happy to eat the
food. Steph said Rizo was constantly sick, didn't eat much and really
seemed to show the effect of back to back seasons where he hadn't had
time to gain his weight back from S49. This reminds me that we also
heard that Rizo was sick much of the time where he and Ozzy were exiled together. Rizo constantly being sick and it not being shown is an interesting bit of editing and I wonder if it means they are trying to
give Rizo a positive edit because maybe he wins?

But getting back to Steph, the issue is whether she said anything about episodes after she was voted out. I listened to the Dalton Twitter post
and from her tone of voice and "just wait and see what happens next"
attitude, she does seem to be foreshadowing who will be voted out next.
But we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I've probably mentioned this before, but the biggest spoiler I think I
ever heard in an exit interview was way back in Survivor Vanuatu. A
player named Sarge got voted out as the first post-merge boot and first
jury member and was interviewed by CBS' Harry Smith. For some unknown
reason, Smith actually asked Sarge who he thought would win the season, apparently not realizing the season had already been filmed except for
the live vote read, so Sarge clearly knew who the two finalists would
be. Instead of clamming up and not saying anything or keeping it vague,
I still remember very clearly that Sarge said "keep your eye on Twila",
who indeed was one of the two finalists. She didn't win, but I still
find it unbelievable that Smith would ask the question and that Sarge
would answer it the way he did.

Only one I can think of off-hand was Ethan who had definite intestinal
issues throughout his winning season, and I think some of this may have
been depicted on camera, specially in that reward he shared with Tom.
