  • CBS announces S50 Season Finale date

    CBS announced today the season finale dates for a number of their
    primetime shows. S50 concludes on May 20 with a three-hour episode.
    According to Mike Bloom that means a total of 13 episodes for S50. Kind
    of disappointing that CBS couldn't have ordered a few more episodes for
    a landmark season.

    I agree. While the New Era seasons have mostly been 13 episodes, we did
    get 14 in both S47 and S49. You'd think they could have sprung for one
    or two extra episodes this season. In the old era it was common to have
    14 and often 15-episode seasons. See list below.

    As we speculated at the time, the three-hour premiere was probably
    originally two episodes but got edited down to one long episode due to
    Kyle's injury.

    I think Kyle's injury might have also forced them to come up with a
    twist on the fly. That will be tomorrow's episode. I doubt like hell
    they planned on doing a "merge" with 17 players left. I'm also doubting
    now that tomorrow's episode is when MrBeast appears. I've seen zero
    mentions of him in promos.
