I'm not familiar with whatever this is spoofing, but it feels like a
misfire. It's not really a Sideshow Bob mystery, since that lasts for
all of about 3 minutes; it seems to be more about everything about
timeshares at once, but without being interesting or especially
satirical or grounded. Every moment seemed to be undermined by
something, and then it was over.

    Previous episode stuff
5F01: Waiting Is the Hardest Part
9F22: Nth reference to rake gag (plus Gilbert & Sullivan)
1F14: Nth reference to hedge gag
2F18: Burns's hound nipping Mel's spare bone reminds me of the puppies
    and Homer's chips
7F06: Not quite nth reference to Homer's fall (see last week!) but some similar staging as Bob falls

Neither was I, but after a bit of web searching I figured out it was a
parody of/inspired by an HBO show called The White Lotus:

Agreed - I couldn't tell what the heck they were going for, so the
whole episode was more confusing than funny. Next time they do an
elaborate parody, they might want to pick something doesn't require
having a specific streaming service and unlimited hours of TV watching
    time to understand.
