Curious episode - a little larger than life in the way that can be
pretty annoying, but also did manage to make a mildly interesting and unpredictable mystery with incorporation of a classic character trait. I
knew I recognized some of the sting elements but couldn't put my finger
on why and finally looked up what movie did the same thing... 2024's
Trap (which I never did see).
Another character name is revealed, perhaps, with Squeaky-Voiced Teen
having a name badge identifying him as Andrew Freeman (though he may be
just one of many identical-looking SVTs in the town).
Goof
Mel pronounces Tobago with an ahh sound on the A, but it should have an
ay sound. Poor T&T can't catch a break with firable blunders (see 5F11).
A change of management
Hmm, did Al Jean step down? This is the first 37ABF episode to air
(though the last 4 36ABFs remain and may be waiting for several
months!), and perhaps it ushers in a new set of showrunners. Matt Selman
has been an EP on most episodes for several years, sometimes before and sometimes after Al in billing. Tonight, though, it listed Selman, then a
new credit, Co-EP Rob Lazebnik, before the classic trio (still including decade-deceased Sam Simon), with no Jean in sight.
