So-so future episode, not awful but also not hitting the emotional
depths it seemed to want to reach for. At least the plot resolution
brought it back to Itchy & Scratchy. It would have been a bit better to spend more time on the title estrangement or drifting-apart process. A little short, too, which is wild, as it's another week where the stated 31-minute slot has been expanded a bit, so it was only about 21:18 out
of 31.5 minutes, when it tends to get 21:30 these days even in 30 minutes.

    (Rated 14-DLV, presumably for extra-gory I&S violence?)

And unless Fox (or D+) runs more episodes (come on, May 29 surprise!)
before the start of the next season, that's it for this one, a full air season (even if only 18 episodes AIRed), but still leaving 11 episodes,
a HALF a season, as holdovers for the next. Oof. But it's interesting timing, being the end of air season 36, as the time jump in this episode
was 35 years, or just about how much the characters would have aged from season 1!

    Previous episode stuff
KABF10: Zooey Deschanel is back, though not as Mary Spuckler (rather as
    New Girl parody Quirk Girl)
DABF06: Milhouse still trying to make "whazzup?" work
(Not 7F18: Ringo does not voice himself now)
Various I&S clips I'm not planning on looking up, but it seems as if the clip from the start of The Movie is here!

    Meta (among other things)
Bart's still got an "underachiever and proud of it" shirt

    And finally
The Pamela Hayden role recasting continues: tonight we have a Kelly
    Macleod as Milhouse.

Thanks for these recaps! Never stop posting them.
