I don't think this excuses the street violence that we're seeing. Personally, I don't want to live in the kind of country that the Tsars had.

Do you know for fact that Floyd was trying to pass counterfeit money? Did a court say that was factually correct. Is the punishment for passing counterfeit money death? Did I miss the change to the law where cops are made judge, jury and executioner?

Hey D/A I heard that there's a really good book and in it some rabbi says something like Judge not lest you be judged. What do you think of that moral?

Yes. And in what we hope is at least a somewhat civilized society we prefer to give people accused of criminality a trial. We don't want the cops to exercise their judgement and decide to murder them without a judge, a jury, and a defense.

Floyd was murdered over possibly passing a bad Twenty. Eric Garner was murdered over over selling loose cigarettes. Neither of these petty offenses deserved death. They died because they did not immediately go limp when the cops came to them. That to so many white cops is inexcusable. There are plenty of cops in the area. Given the low nature of the presumed offenses they could wait the offenders out or find other ways to non-violently apprehend them. But no, the cops are incensed and take it out on them. The manner of arrest should always be in relation to the alleged crime. If you canrCOt find a way to arrest a man over selling cigarettes you should not be a cop.
IrCOm sure if D/A is in a bad mood one day and talks back to his aides, he will be mighty displeased if they came after home with nightsticks.

Interestingly, I'm seeing some reports, no cite, that say that Minneapolis, is considering disbanding the police and doing some form of community policing. I'm sure that'll turn out equally well.
