My roommate controls the tv remote. Tonight he had the NBC evening news on. They showed a video clip of the incident from the beginning. with the police holding the gun on Floyd as he was in his car.

Floyd was immediately arguing with the police officer,

Then my roommate turned the tv off.

I contend that if Floyd had behaved he would not ultimately have been killed --- Synchronet 3.21d-Linux NewsLink 1.2

Wasn't he handcuffed? Don't the police have an obligation to protect the lives of people who are in their custody?

Floyd was opening the car door. That is a big no no as the police have no idea what the driver is up to. Plus his arguing. Little wonder the police officer pulled out his gun.

He was sitting in the car when approached by the police officer before later being handcuffed.

But at the time the cops knelt on his neck, wasn't he handcuffed?
