I watched a few episodes of a 2019 show, Boomerang, this weekend. It
derives from the Eddie Murphy movie of the same name, about young people in advertising and in live. Tho the show has good ratings on Rotten Tomatoes,
it is actually dated and pretty much hackneyed. The star seemed very
familiar. Tequan Richmond. The younger TJ! He is supposed to be 24 in
this show but looks 14, which was another reason I had trouble seeing him
    as a romantic lead.

TJ, no matter who might portray him, needs to return to the show. Even
    with a wife and kid.

    Well deserved.

    Soa Drew got no ticks?

Any self-respecting tick would rather starve to death than poison itself
    with that creep's blood.

How about Outback? Maybe he had one of those special collars?

Cody gives her Credelio during tick season.

Given the current state of the WSB, form codes are probably all she
needs to memorize. The agency no longer appears to be overly concerned
    with the legal ones.

Who is going to turn out to be FitzCopAs relative?

Is there a relative in the wings? I missed that. The show cut out for
about 15 minutes on Friday so that ABC could air an update on a trial
I'd never heard of and care nothing about. :(

Nothing was said or even hinted at. Pure soap flavored speculation.

HererCOs the cliffhanger roundup for the week

    https://soapsteph.beehiiv.com/p/new-actors-join-beyond-the-gates-vivica-a-fox-takes-y-r-break

General Hospital: What a week! The Friday cliffhangers rCo Trina confronting Brook Lynn about being the driver who left Curtis and Jordan on the road
and Anna holding Britt at gunpoint in the woods rCo were intenserCa. I love Danny and Charlotte playing junior detectives to get something on Drew,
only to get blocked by Carly and Valentin who were doing some PI work of
their own. But poor Brennan. He was drugged (again), then found dead in the Metro Court pool by and Charlotte and Danny, who left him there, only for
Drew and Ava to find him, drag his body out and bury it in the woods. Ignominious, indeed. Why didnrCOt anyone call the cops? I know itrCOs a soap, but really? That never ends well, especially since CharlotterCOs bracelet is
on the bodyrCa. The CatrCOs Eye lounge in Rochester was another fantastic set, and the rCLTrinorCY T-shirts were just a perfect touchrCa. Rocco and ScoutrCOs teen
romance is developing at a nice pace and is sweetrCa. And finally! Chase admitted to Dante that he thinks Willow is in love with him. Chase is a detective. He needs to be smart, both on the job and off it.

    Chase

Missed that part, too. There must have been quite a lot that happened
during the time ABC just couldn't resist cutting into the middle of the
Friday episode of weekday serial drama to air an update on a non-thing
that had no-thing to do with any-thing.

    Chase is a
detective. He needs to be smart, both on the job and off it.

He need to be, but he not be. Hard to think of a bigger GH himbo than
    Chase.

I would say Willow is obsessed with Chase, not in love with him. Willow
is kind of a psychopath. Romantic love may be an emotion that is not
    truly available to Willow. >

Agreed. The ease with which Willow is able to manipulate Chase into
seeing her as the victim in every situation requires a lot of mental gymnastics and selective denial on Chase's part. Like recently when
Chase chose to believe larger and much younger Willow was thrown into
the water by Tracy and was in some kind of genuine danger.

She might experience real romantic love if she weren't mentally ill, but
right now, the only "romantic" relationship she's capable of having is
one of codependency. It's probably an extension of her mental illness
that resulted from being forced into a cult environment as a child.

Codependency needs willing partners. I wouldn't say that Chase has a
mental illness, but he does have a personality disorder--a savior
complex--that will only get worse without therapy or at least an acknowledgement on his part that it's a problem that needs work. An overwhelming need to solve problems for others is tied to a person's
sense of self worth, so poor Chase isn't going to be in a happy mental
space unless he's rushing to someone's rescue.

Codependency is exactly what it is, as far as Chase is concerned! Good analysis. So wound up in Willow's many problems, mostly self-inflicted,
that he's losing his own identity constantly trying to save her. I'm
afraid I can see where this is going.
