    Maybe the WSB had been planning to get rid of Brennan all along. Maybe
    this WSB agent is who he was supposed to call.

    Maybe Brennan had enemies. The black box could have contained
    incriminating evidence on any number of people. Maybe the WSB were lying
    in wait with a fatal dose of a different drug. Maybe there were a handful
    of WSB agents who wrangled him into the pool.

    The guy comes in and immediately dismisses Agent Jacks from the Brennan investigation without asking any questions of her at all until she
    points out, on her way out the door, that she might be helpful. Only
    then does he think up some questions to ask her.

    Since he knows so much about her JJE assignment, you'd think he would
    also know that she is from PC and knows people and that her mother had
    been involved with Brennan. Seems to me that Agent Jacks would be a
    veritable fount of useful info. But no, it was git and don't let the
    door hit you on the backside on the way out. (How far the WSB has
    fallen.)
