I was re-viewing some old tapes I have lying around and one of them
included a couple of GH episodes from around 2007. Yes, I still have a
VCR/DVD combination player.

The main plot line was Laura finally waking up from her catatonic state
after four years. Doctor Robin Scorpio-Drake had used one of her very miraculous cures on Laura. Of course there was a delay in the drug
working, for dramatic effect.

Other plots were Lorenzo Alcazar and Sky Quartermaine having a baby,
Lorenzo deciding to include his son Diego in his business, and Alexis
dealing with cancer, which leads Ric to try and take baby Molly from
Alexis. Naturally, Jason stops Ric. Another was Sam leaving Alexis's
home because they'd had a falling out, apparently over Sam having a
sexual relationship with Ric. Carly of all people was trying to arrange
a reconciliation between Alexis and Sam.

I'd forgotten about a lot of this. That's a huge amount of drama ago.

It seemed like although the production was not quite as sophisticated as today, the plots were much more cohesive and grounded in reality. Or
maybe that's just nostalgia.
