TodayrCOs stories seem to put a few new subplots into action.

Anna continues to hallucinate Peter. He is trying to persuade her to kill Britt. Is this a drug induced hallucination, the way Liesl was when Anna
was first captured? If so, why do the perpetrators want Britt dead. Especially since killing her should be fairly easy. They could have done
    it many times over.

We now know how Stella got to boss around Britt. She was promoted and given
    the title hospital administrator.

Turns out the new doctor is affiliated with WSB. Brennan visited him,
asking for reports. Which means someone at the hospital is under
    surveillance. Probably Britt.

Jason saw the doctor at the hospital and seemed surprised to see him.

Serena showed up in PC. She confesses she is broke. She hints at a
possible scam. Almost seems Ethan adjacent con jobs. But, could be
    someone elserCOs handiwork.

Ethan spied someone at the hotel pool, who likely is PhoeberCOs real father. Or the con who cheated Serena.

Finally, we got to hear about Scott Baldwin. Serena reported he is in Key West, enjoying life.

When we last saw him, he skipped out on a trial, because of some hustle
    with SonnyrCOs meds.

Lucy has enlisted SerenarCOs help with Deception. We donrCOt yet know what Lucy is planning.

Can't say what the writers intend Peter to be, but it appears to me that
Anna isn't actually aware of him as a separate thing outside of herself.
My guess is that he's an imaginary interlocutor rather than an
hallucination--a dramatic device that allows us to hear Anna's inner
dialog without having her speak both sides of that dialog aloud. Having
an inner dialog is completely normal. What isn't normal is having an
inner dialog that promotes paranoia and prompts a person to act in self-destructive ways. Paranoia leading to self-destruction was exactly
what Cullum's gaslighting intended to achieve. Anna never did get well,
she just shifted her Cullum-induced paranoia from outward action to
inner dialog when she realized that doing so would be her ticket out of
    the nuthouse.

There are tells that Anna knows that Peter isn't real. He doesn't stick
around when others enter the room where Anna is interacting with him--he disappears because her inner dialog stops when her interaction with
others begins. When Jason dropped by to see her, Peter was perched on
the arm of the sofa, but before she opened the door to Jason, Anna
didn't try to shoo Peter away. When she told Jason to have a seat and
Jason went to sit where Peter had had his feet seconds before, she
didn't say to Jason, "no, no! Don't sit on Peter!" And she has yet to
warn Felicia and Mac and the vacationing Maxie that Peter was alive.

We now know how Stella got to boss around Britt. She was promoted and given the title hospital administrator.

Well, it's good of them to finally get around to explaining that!

Turns out the new doctor is affiliated with WSB. Brennan visited him,
asking for reports. Which means someone at the hospital is under surveillance. Probably Britt.

Tristan seemed genuinely surprised to learn that Britt was a doctor at
GH, so probably not Britt, unless Brennan decided later to include her
in Tristan's directive. But if so, why would Brennan need to put a spy
on Britt? Does he think she's still in league with Sidwell or the unlikely-to-be-dead Cullum?

Tristan didn't seem too thrilled to be having to report to the WSB. He's probably just another involuntary "recruit" indebted to the WSB for
saving his bacon. I'm really sick of Brennan, and very put out that
they've turned the WSB into a wicked, secret global cabal. That was the
    DVX's job. :(

Jason saw the doctor at the hospital and seemed surprised to see him.

Probably because he thought the guy's only role was as his WSB escort
home. Maybe they'll get around to explaining how that came about one of
    these days.

Serena showed up in PC. She confesses she is broke. She hints at a
possible scam. Almost seems Ethan adjacent con jobs. But, could be
    someone elseAs handiwork.

She doesn't seem much like the old Serena. This one looks and sounds
like she'd be more interested in nail salons than environmental issues.
OTOH, she did say that she quit saving whales because of all of the
paperwork involved. Too hard, hurts brain!

Ethan spied someone at the hotel pool, who likely is PhoebeAs real father.

If so, he didn't look very scary to me. Just another ginger with scruffy
facial hair, and too young to have committed a crime in 1993 for which
DNA had been collected. But maybe the DNA Ethan stole from the cops and
swapped for his own had nothing to do with Phoebe's paternity.

Or the con who cheated Serena.

Or Phoebe's father *and* the nefarious charlatan who swindled nail salon
bimbo Serena out of what was left of her trust fund after she had used
the bulk of it to fund Greenpeace.

Finally, we got to hear about Scott Baldwin. Serena reported he is in Key West, enjoying life.

When we last saw him, he skipped out on a trial, because of some hustle
    with SonnyAs meds.

Yes, he dropped a sack of groceries and fled town without going home to
pack a bag. Seems to be a lot of that going on these days.

Lucy has enlisted SerenaAs help with Deception. We donAt yet know what Lucy is planning.

Something Lucy-ish. I hope they aren't planning to turn Serena into Lucy
Jr, but it appears to be shaping up that way. :(

Just a theory that could be blown to bits in the Friday episode (that I
have not yet seen), but thank you. :D

    Assuming Peter is her subconscious,

Not her subconscious--she's consciously aware of the dialog she's having
    with herself.

why would she be so fixated on ending
Britt? Because she is convinced Britt was at the root of the abduction,

Yes. Anna told Jason when he stopped by her place the other day that
only Faison's offspring could possibly have known the things "Faison"
said to her when she was being held in the basement of Wyndemere, so she
holds Cassius and Britt responsible for her torment. Like everyone else,
Anna believes Cassius is dead, so she's focused on Faison's only
surviving offspring, Britt. Anna believes that as long as Britt is
alive, she and her family will be at risk of further torment.

    in
spite of JasonAs insistence she wasnAt?

Right. Jason's insistence that Britt wasn't responsible actually
reinforced Anna's belief that Britt *was* responsible. After Jason's
visit, "Peter" told Anna (that is, Anna told herself) that Jason had
been lying to her when he said that it was Cullum and not Britt who was responsible for what happened to her. So for Anna, Jason is now
suspect--she will consider everything he says and does to be in service
    of Britt, her tormentor.

I think this article is mostly clickbait, but for those who want to read
    it: https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/is-general-hospitals-jason-morgan-leaving-the-mob-behind/

You can see what it is about just by reading the link. It provides no
answers, pure speculation on JasonrCOs supposed new direction.

I bring it up here, because Jason may be AnnarCOs target now.

I started considering a few things about her behavior. Tho generally
logical and calculating in the past, she seems to have undergone a serious change in how she processes info. Debating anything with deranged Peter,
who seems to be winning the argument, underscores how disordered her
    thinking has become.

Which reminds me she still suffers from the blood cancer. She likely still takes some sort of medications for it. In fact, hallucinations Liesl
handed some when Anna was first captured.

It also occurred to me she was certainly taking anti psychotics in the
    French sanitarium.

What about now? WouldnrCOt they have released her with a promise her family would maintain her medication schedule?

I wonder how much her medications are causing her confusion, rather than helping. I wonder whether she is intentionally being administered
    something that fuels her anger.

She is returning to the job of police commissioner. Murder in the name of revenge does not really belong on that resume. Nor would she be
contemplating it if she were mentally sound. She would be figuring out a
legal way to get Britt. I

There has got to be more to this story.

I bring it up here, because Jason may be AnnaAs target now.

He would definitely become a target if he got between her and Britt!

I started considering a few things about her behavior. Tho generally
logical and calculating in the past, she seems to have undergone a serious change in how she processes info. Debating anything with deranged Peter,
who seems to be winning the argument, underscores how disordered her
    thinking has become.

It's called psychosis. What's odd about Anna's case is that after
decades of being terrorized by Faison, she had become so vulnerable to suggestion that it was very easy to turn her into a paranoid mess with a
couple of props and the voice of a Faison impersonator piped into her
room a couple of times. You'd think WSB agents would be hardened against psychological warfare. They wouldn't be unbreakable, but it would take a
lot more to break them than it would the average person. But Anna didn't
seem to have been shielded from psychological harm by her training at
all. And back in the day, training for WSB agents involved far more than
    a couple weeks of kickboxing.

Which reminds me she still suffers from the blood cancer.

She does. Unless it turns out that Cullum made Anna believe she has
blood cancer when she does not, just as he made Britt believe she had Huntington's when she did not. But that's a silly suggestion. They'd
never do that twice. Would they? :D

    She likely still
takes some sort of medications for it. In fact, hallucinations Liesl
handed some when Anna was first captured.

Hallucinations Liesl (or someone Cullum paid to wear a Liesl mask) gave
Anna mind-altering drugs and told her it was medication for her illness.
It also occurred to me she was certainly taking anti psychotics in the
    French sanitarium.

What about now? WouldnAt they have released her with a promise her family would maintain her medication schedule?

You'd think so, but no one appears to be monitoring her at all--not a
doctor, not her family, not her friends. The French psych hospital
pronounced her fully cured and released her.

I wonder how much her medications are causing her confusion, rather than helping. I wonder whether she is intentionally being administered
    something that fuels her anger.

If she was released with prescription meds, she isn't being shown taking
them, so I guess they're not making her meds a thing. I get the idea
that her current paranoia is a vestigial effect of Cullum's gaslighting
and the drugs he'd given her. But if she's being dosed with something
now, who would be doing it? Brennan? To what end?

She is returning to the job of police commissioner. Murder in the name of revenge does not really belong on that resume. Nor would she be contemplating it if she were mentally sound. She would be figuring out a legal way to get Britt. I

If she were mentally sound, she wouldn't be interested in taking out
    Britt at all.

There has got to be more to this story.

Yes, and we might find out what it is after they drag things out for a
year or longer before getting bored with it all and tying up their loose
ends in a way that makes little to no sense to the story as a whole.
