Nina shoved Drew in the lake, stood around wringing her hands and
calling his name for several minutes, then grabbed her bag and took off
for the WSB's field office (must not be a long drive from the Qs') to
sob and wring her hands and plead with Brennan for his help for several
more minutes before they both took off back to the lake...to do what?
Make sure Drew was dead? Pretend to "save" him and cook up a story about
how he somehow managed to wheel himself off the dock? Whatever story
they try to cook up, it will have to explain why Nina didn't call 911,
but instead drove to the WSB to fetch Brennan.

That none of that was implausible enough, so while Nina was driving to
the WSB and pleading with Brennan, they had PC's most heroic lifeguard
just happen to go for a swim in the very spot of the attempted murder
and notice someone in the water (must not be a very deep lake). So then Gio...did what? Dove in and unstrapped Drew from the chair and dragged
him onto the dock, then watched him lurch off like a soggy
Frankenstein's monster without a word about how he came to be drowning?

Even navy SEALs can't hold their breath under water for as long as it
took for all of that drama to unfold.

Now I guess Nina and Brennan are in a race to find Drew before he kills
Willow. Hopefully they'll get stuck in traffic, but it won't
matter--they'll still manage to arrive at Willow's just in time to save
her.

Drew has had such huge a metamorphosis in a very short amount of time,
that I am starting to think they're going to pull a fast one (like they
did with Britt's non-illness), and we'll find out that Drew isn't Drew.

The one part that did make sense was Brennan and Willow backing Drew
down with the evidence of Drew's corruption. Of course Drew
misappropriated funds to his campaign. And it is a Mutually Assured Destruction situation, so it's not surprising Drew made a deal versus
the risk of 20 years in a Federal prison.

Another thread suggests that Brook Lyn and Chase may be the dumbest
characters ever on GH. I'd add Nina to the list of nominees.

Drew had quite a tan for someone who had been a shut in for such a long
time.

Drew seems to be plotting some sort of revenge, and counting on Willow experiencing some sort of WSB double cross.

All of her bad deeds seem difficult to prove.

On the other hand, some of DrewrCOs seem to be verifiable by other law enforcement agencies.

Maybe not the Germany thing or the dead judge thing. The campaign finance thing seems the type of crime that any auditor could catch. Drew should
have demanded that Brennan have the entire record properly scrubbed.

And that ring drop! I canrCOt believe she gave that back. Hope it didnrCOt sustain any damage

Nina being Nina. Willow told her that the evidence had been lost and
that she, Nina, and the kids would have to leave the country
immediately. No going home to pack a bag, no telling people goodbye.
Nina didn't consider abandoning her cushy life to flee the country and
live under a false identity to be an actual option. But there *was* an
option just begging to be taken, and it was sitting a few feet away in a
push chair at the edge of the water. For someone out of options, taking
an opportunity to get rid of the problem would have been a no-brainer.
That is, it wouldn't have required thinking, just acting. Thinking has
never been Nina's thing, anyway. And Brennan had more or less planted
the seed of a murder option into Nina's stupid head when he suggested
killing Drew a few weeks ago.

The speed of that decision was jarring. And then Nina apparently
has remorse instantly, repeatedly calling out Drew's name? What did that accomplish? I wonder how Nina would have explained how Drew wound up in
the lake and why she did not call for help.

We might find out yet how she would have explained it because she's
going to have to, won't she? Danny and Scout knowingly left Nina with
Drew on the dock, and Gio knows that Drew ended up in the lake. So Nina
and her psycho daughter and Brennan will have to come up with some
explanation for how Drew went into the lake on Nina's watch.

You didn't miss it. Gio didn't say he had demanded an explanation from
Drew, just that he'd put a towel on his car seat for Drew to sit on and
drove him to Willow's house, apparently without asking questions. Not particularly smart, but he does have BLQ's genes.

What the mother and daughter psychos didn't seem to understand when they flounced off all cocky and full of themselves believing they had won the
day, was that all they managed to have done was to stop Drew from
ratting them out to the cops. But there's nothing at all to stop Drew
from exacting his revenge another way.

Deservedly so. Nina has been so dumb for so long that she should be
granted a lifetime achievement award for her contributions towards
raising the level of global stupidity (which, it can't go without
saying, is running at an all time high right now).

In the Tuesday episode, we were reminded yet again of Drew's expert
swimming skills when Scout told Rocco that Drew had taught her to swim.
But Gio had found Drew clinging to the dock waiting to be rescued.
Clinging to something like a drowning rat to keep himself afloat doesn't
sound to me like an expert swimming skill. I'm leaning more and more
towards the idea that Drew might not be Drew.

I hadn't really noticed until his shirt was off at the pool on Friday.
He's more tan and more muscular than he was before Willow stabbed him
with the syringe. I guess we're supposed to assume that the muscles are
from Willow manipulating his arms and legs and calling it PT. And the
tan is either from a tanning bed, or Willow stuck him in the back yard
on sunny days and turned him on a spit. Knowing Willow, it was the
latter.

On the subject of Drew...being given a "stroke" was no kind of
comeuppance. They still owe us that after making us suffer that jerk for
months and months. But now that Drew is back and worse than ever, a
proper comeuppance looks less and less likely to happen unless Drew
turns out not to be Drew. The oddest scene of the week was when Alexis
told Drew that everyone except Scout despises him, that there are lots
of people who would like to take a shot at him, and eventually one of
those people won't miss. So maybe someone *will* take a shot at him and
not miss and the coroner will open him up and find a mutated Kaled
inside. (Sorry for the Dr Who reference, but the thought that Drew is
actually a Dalek just popped into my head and was too funny to pass up.)
