Molly may be handed the prosecutor job on the Sidwell case.

On the other hand, she is about to start a book tour, and her parents are planning a huge party.

I dunno how this works, but I just cannot imagine that the trial will
commence right away. WouldnrCOt they have a team working on the case? Crazy not to. You never know when one of the lawyers needs backup.

Maybe she really does not have options.

But Cody seems like he needs to get away for a little bit to deal with
James temporarily hating him. The book tour might serve that function.

On the other hand, his sister Serena is about to show up.

    Snort!

I dunno how this works, but I just cannot imagine that the trial will commence right away. WouldnAt they have a team working on the case? Crazy not to. You never know when one of the lawyers needs backup.

A team of prosecutors and their assistants would have started work the
second Sidwell was arrested, charged, and arraigned. There would be
pretrial hearings, and motions before the court, etc. There should be a
flurry of activity on both sides. If Turner is piddling around thinking
of handing Molly the case, that means no one has started work on it, and Sidwell is cooling his heels in jail waiting for the DA's office to get
its act together. People charged with crimes have a right to a speedy
trial, but there's nothing speedy in the way Turner's office is going
    about it.

Maybe she really does not have options.

But Cody seems like he needs to get away for a little bit to deal with
    James temporarily hating him.

And that's something else that irks me. Maxie should have been the one
to break the news to James about his fake daddy, not Cody. If they
really couldn't resist leaving the job to James's uncle instead of to
his mother (whose job it should have been, rightfully), they should have
either killed off Maxie or put her into another coma instead of using
the stupid excuse that she was very busy vacationing at the Grand
Canyon. Something with that much potential to damage a child
psychologically is reason enough for a mother to interrupt her stupid
vacation and get her stupid butt on the first plane back to PC. I
mean...what are these people thinking when they write this crap?

The book tour might serve that function.

Good. Maybe she'll have gone to law school last week and will join the
    DA's office.

It seems the predominant opinion is that this was handled poorly.

We know Kristen Storms (Maxie) is having real life difficulties affecting
    her ability to work.

My thought: why bother covering telling the kid on screen, at all? They
could have just had one of the characters say that James took it hard and
is in denial. The original James wasnrCOt even available for the scene, because he is recovering from the bike accident.

All I can think is Josh Kelly wants meatier lines in a pursuit for Emmy nominations.

    Snip rest

Judging from the articles you linked the group to several weeks ago, it
doesn't seem she plans to return. So why not recast the part? KS is *my* favorite of all of the adult Maxies, but if she can't, she can't--move
    on.

I couldn't agree more. I understand that they would want to maximize the
drama, but sometimes it's not possible to work everything you want into
a story. Since KS and James's portrayer weren't available, they could
have had Felicia tell someone that Cody and James had flown out to the
Grand Canyon to be with the rest of the family so Maxie could break the
    news to him.

    Exactly.

Storms actually posted something today, after quite a while. It isnrCOt particularly informative. She doesnrCOt tell us that she plans to return.
She told us she is now a brunette. Even that isnrCOt much news, as she has been brunette in the past.

"Exploring a future outside of acting" sounds like she's decided to move
on. And she says that moving to TN was the best choice for her, so even
if she decides to stick with GH, it will probably be in a limited
capacity, at least until her child leaves the nest. They probably should
just recast the part, otherwise Spinelli, Georgie, and Bailey Lu will be
    doomed to vacation purgatory.

Speaking of kids...was it just me, or is the child who is playing Amelia
now a bit too...large for the part? When she and Wiley ran into Willow's
living room last week, they were nearly the same size, and Wiley was the smaller of the two. Sort of a shocking sight.
