I ran out of time in the other thread and then I realized what I had to say possibly contained a Wednesday spoiler.

The scene between Joss and Carly was very well written. As Steve, said it
felt genuine. Laura Wright did a terrific job.

On the other hand, even tho very good as a stand alone scene, other factors emphasize how hypocritical and self involved Carly can be.

Once again, she allowed her daughter to grow up with Jason and Sonny. Not
only did she allow the violent environment, but she herself became a mob
    boss at one point.

All her rationalizations on WednesdayrCOs episode were difficult to square after TuesdayrCOs scenes with Joss.

And then thererCOs Donna, who is also a potential target.

Carly wants Joss out of the dangerous job. But thatrCOs not enough for her. She still wants revenge on Brennan.

    But thererCOs more!

Sonny tells her Valentin was the one who meddled with SonnyrCOs medication. Sonny figures this might be enough to change CarlyrCOs mind about Val. But
no, she is entirely willing to overlook it, because she wants sex. Me me
    me!

DidnrCOt Val mess with the meds at the time he was conspiring with Brennan about Pikeman? When will Carly find out and will she care, in spite of her vendetta against Brennan? Or will it still be ok, because, sex?

Isaiah consulting with a lawyer was the second thing that happened on Wednesday.

If Curtis has to pay up, he may lose the Savoy or stock in the company he
and Michael run together. CurtisrCO negative press after the arrest may have had consequences that need management. In fact, one has to wonder why
Michael hasnrCOt done anything significant to curtail the damage his company may sustain.

That medication tampering thing was such a long time ago that I'd
forgotten about it. That it had happened such a long time ago is the
excuse Carly gave for shrugging it off.

DidnAt Val mess with the meds at the time he was conspiring with Brennan about Pikeman? When will Carly find out and will she care, in spite of her vendetta against Brennan? Or will it still be ok, because, sex?

If Carly can justify being okay with Val's tampering with Sonny's meds,
she won't care why he did it. If she were capable of making rational
romantic choices, she might stop to think that one of the results of
Val's (and Ava's) meds tampering was Sonny's paranoiac distrust of her
precious Jason, something that put Jason's life in danger. Another was
that Sonny's erratic behavior endangered Donna's life. She's forgotten
    all that inconvenient stuff tho.

Isaiah consulting with a lawyer was the second thing that happened on Wednesday.

Don't know how things work in NY, but I sorta doubt Isaiah could attach liability to Aurora Media in a civil suit against Curtis for damages
resulting from an assault that was unrelated to his duties as CEO. As
for Michael managing the optics, he seems too focused on Jacinda and
Willow to be doing much else. He could always let Curtis go to avoid
negative press resulting from Curtis's personal behavior. Seems
reasonable to me, and would serve Curtis right.

That said, I have to wonder if charges of criminal assault that resulted
in an injury like Isaiah's would carry a 10 prison sentence IRL, or if
that was just written that way for dramatic effect. Steve? IAC, Curtis
should be smart and take the plea deal. OTOH, I would not be at all
unhappy if Curtis were to be sent up the river for 10 years.

I doubt there are any places where Isaiah could pierce the corporate veil.

However, no matter what the criminal case outcome, the civil judgment could/should be substantial. Isaiah describing the amount of training
required for his specialty is meaningful.

Assuming he owns Aurora stock, he may have to sell to fulfill the judgment. Said stock is likely to be a better source of funding than the nightclub.

Curtis stands to lose absolutely everything, not only his Aurora stock.
Causing a surgeon with a specialty like Isaiah's to lose his source of
income for life, or even temporarily, would likely leave Curtis living
in a cardboard box under a bridge. If Isaiah wins a civil suit against
Curtis and Curtis can't raise the cash to pay the judgment, then
Curtis's shares in Aurora, his payout rights, his nightclub, and any
assets in his name can be seized and either liquidated to raise the cash
to pay the judgment, or transferred directly into Isaiah's ownership.
Curtis might have to go back to being a PI or a cop. Or, he could go to
medical school for a few months and become a brain surgeon.

Messing with Sonny's meds was a long time ago, but it had many serious
impacts and potential impacts on a lot of characters. Including Jason
and Donna. Carly should be showing Valentin the door, no matter how long

But maybe Nina will indirectly cause a break-up.

I understand why Curtis wants to go to trial on the criminal charge, but
he can still be found liable for damages in a civil suit for damages no
matter what verdict he gets on the criminal charge. And if Curtis is
found guilty, he's going to miss a lot more than eight months of the
baby's life. Putting aside that his "defenses" are not defenses at all
in New York. The victim goading the defendant by saying mean things is
no defense to an assault charge, and neither is defendant's suspicion
that the victim saw defendant crash and failed to give assistance
    several weeks earlier.

The maximum sentence for Assault second degree in real New York is seven years. And that charge requires defendant to intend to cause a serious physical injury, resulting in such an injury. It might be hard to get a
jury to find that Curtis intended to cause a serious physical injury
when he sucker-punched Isaiah. I do agree that I would not miss Curtis
one bit if he were given a long sentence.

Not a spoiler because it happened over a year ago: Val also tried

alive is rCLmiracle televisionrCY. She has completely laid that experience aside, too.

It's not a stretch to believe that Carly and Val are destined for a breakup--Carly's relationships have always ended badly. Joss is hoping
that Val's "obsession" with Anna will be the catalyst for the breakup. I
hope not. Anna does not deserve to be paired with a Cassadine.

Speaking of Joss, there's something I don't get about her explanation
for why she bargained for Val's release. How could Carly have been
charged with harboring a fugitive when the only people who knew that she
had been either aren't likely to rat her out (Sonny, Jason, Joss,
Charlotte, Danny and Lulu), or they have no proof that Val had been
living in her attic (Brennan and Nina) and would have only their word
    over Carly's?

    <snip>

And just the other day, Curtis (and Jordan, who should know better) were plotting a defense strategy with Martin Gray that involved proving
Isaiah had been the one who had "left them for dead," therefore Isaiah
deserved the whuppin'. That's so idiotic that it's laughable.

That said, I have to wonder if charges of criminal assault that resulted

In that case, I agree that a jury would be unlikely to give Curtis the
max because Curtis hadn't meant to turn Isaiah's hand into a block of
plaster. But if I were on the jury and had to sit through a trial
watching Curtis on his high horse as he's sure to be, I'd sentence him
to more than two years. Shut up and take the deal, Curtis.

I think Sonny brought that up to her the other day, and Carly just

trail of jerks and dirtbags in Carly's wake whose atrocious behavior she
moved heaven and earth to defend until they made the fatal mistake of endangering her kids or Jason, then it was off with the velvet gloves
