Yesterday, Oliver had only two lines and they fuzzed up his face to convey
that Joss was seeing him in a blur, due to loss of focus resulting from the gunshot.

He had considerably more screen time today. I have to admit it was a
credible performance. But then again, he wasnrCOt called upon to deliver any deeply emotional scenarios.

Vaughn is back. This is a brief stint, three episodes.

Joss is selling out. In return for Jason and Val to be pardoned and
    released.

She has concocted a lie exonerating Cullum (to make Z look competent).

She will blame everything on Cassius. But we donrCOt know if Cassius is dead or alive. And if alive, he will receive a life sentence. He and his
family will try to fight that.

    But wait!
We donrCOt know who has the cold fusion device, nor how they plan to use it.

Z may turn out to be a villain after all.

Agreed. He sure sounded like a WSB Chief. I guess calling him Z is a nod
    to James Bond's M.

That seemed pretty clever. The WSB Chief gets what he wants, and Joss
gets Valentin and Jason released. But shouldn't she be withholding
giving her formal report until Valentin and Jason are safely back in PC?
And I'm not willing to just accept Z's claim that Cassius is dead. Or
    that Cullum is.

The writers sure do over-use the corrupt WSB Chief story-line. Even if Z
is not a bad guy, wouldn't it make sense for the WSB to take charge of
the cold fusion devise in order to control its use, if any?

Really odd that she would be willing to throw Cassius under the bus for
Jason and Val. He saved her life and her mother's. Jason, I sorta get,
because he's important to Carly, but Val? Only recently important to
Carly, but Joss doesn't like them together, so why not leave him cooling
    his heels far away?

She has concocted a lie exonerating Cullum (to make Z look competent).

Right. A whole bunch of lies. All to make Zee (which a Brit should have pronounced "Zed," but that's me nitpicking), *and* the WSB seem
    infallible.

She will blame everything on Cassius. But we donAt know if Cassius is dead or alive. And if alive, he will receive a life sentence. He and his
family will try to fight that.

Zee told Joss that Cassius was dead, and someone else (Vaughan, maybe?)
said that his condition was classified. IAC, no one is ever truly dead
on GH. The dead are often resurrected or turned in hallucinations, or
<shudder> soon to be AI generated. The day AI Luke turns up in PC is the
day I pack it in. Just...no.

    But wait!
We donAt know who has the cold fusion device, nor how they plan to use it.

Presumably it's in the hands of the WSB. That's not the big question I
have tho. I would like to know what that big truck the device was loaded
into was doing on Spoon Island. How did Cullum and his brigade of
horribles plan to drive it off the island? There's not a
bridge--everyone comes and goes by boat. Nutty!

Z may turn out to be a villain after all.

He's definitely a schemer, willing to throw someone under the bus to
make his organization and himself appear blameless for Snafu. So maybe
not a full-on villain, just a typical bureaucrat? OTOH, he arrived on
the scene in a sinister-looking black helicopter and was dressed in
black with his hair dyed to match his outfit. And he shot Cullum's goon
who was still alive on the ground without a second's thought--probably,
as we found out later, so that Joss would be the only witness to what
had happened on the loading dock. We'll have to wait and see if he tries
to use Faison's device for evil or for good to know if his heart is as
    black as his hair.

    My thought exactly.

A point blank shotgun hit to the upper back should have made him dead
before he hit the ground. But on GH? Who knows. He can easily turn up
again. My guess is that for now they're done with him as the villain du
jour, and it will be off to the races with the war between Sidwell and
    Sonny.

Once upon a time, the WSB were the good guys and the DVX was its evil
nemesis. Now the DVX is gone and forgotten, and the WSB's evil nemesis
    is inside the house.
