In what reality does an HOA president barge into a mayor's office to
complain that a member of their HOA is in violation of the association's
deed restrictions? HOAs do not complain to members' employers about HOA violations. Just ridiculous.

They did imply that Mabel is a (previously unknown) big deal in Port
Charles. It's still absurd. Violations of an HOA agreement would be a
civil matter, having nothing to do with the mayor. Mabel made it sound
like the HOA violation was a crime which of course it is not.
I wish the writers would not spend time on mundane matters like a shoe-stealing, barking dog.

ITA. FWIW, I adore dogs--they're the best things in the world--but
there's a valid reason no one in PC has a pet, as against the odds as
that would be IRL. They're scene stealers who add nothing to the
stories. It seems obvious to me that they're trying give Emma a reason
to rehome the doggo. Hopefully she'll send her to live with Robin and
    Patrick. :)

Generally, the only pet ever mentioned is Annabelle the 2nd, and she is
almost always off-screen. When was the last time we saw her in a scene?
I seem to remember the Spencers (Luke and Laura) having a large dog back
years ago, but I'm not sure about that now.

    *MINOR SPOILER:

And now it looks like Lulu will take the dog, probably to get on Rocco's
    good side.

Well, yes, there have been dogs on occasion, but they don't stay for
long and they really are nothing more than comic relief of sorts. And
time eaters. The Spencers had a dog called Foster during the original Annabelle's era. And I think Annabelle was Lila's dog, but maybe she
belonged to all of the Qs. This was all before Jason's brain injury made
him denounce his family and become a mobster. He and AJ still lived at
home, and in one very prolonged scene, Annabelle had stolen a pork chop
and AJ and Jason chased her through the house trying to get it away from
her. Finally, she jumped onto the sofa in the living room and dropped
the greasy chop on it, then ran away when AJ and Jason ran into the
room. AJ saw the chop on the sofa and said, "Wicked!" LOL! That scene
was cute and funny, but advanced the plot not at all.

Since Lucky left, the beagle has been my doggo's favorite GH character.
She'll be happy to know that the dog is not leaving the show.

Of course, he was never part of the Q family, but Roxy the bearded dragon
was FinnrCOs emotional support pet for a while.

    Not cuddly, tho.
