Jordan's accident must have knocked her understanding of the legal
system right out of her head. In the Tuesday episode, she told Curtis
that there was no way that Justine would bring a case against him
because she knew how much stress he had been under. What?! Unless things
are done differently in NY, a DA's job is to seek justice for wrongs
done to the public, not to mollycoddle those accused of offending
against it. Isaiah is the wronged party, not Curtis, and it matters not
at all to a DA looking to indict an offender how much stress that
individual was under at the time they (were alleged to have) committed
the offense. The stress issue can be presented by the defense, either
seeking to dismiss on those grounds at pretrial hearings, or should the
case go to trial, as argument for acquittal. But given the facts of the
assault on Isaiah, that is a pretty flimsy defense, IMO.

Then there was acting DA Turner, seeking advice on whether she should
indict someone from, of all people, the town mob boss! WTH? She doesn't
have the excuse of having been in a car wreck to explain the sudden loss
of her legal schooling, so it must have been her "association" with
Sonny that has knocked all sense out of her head. Women fall senseless
at his feet all the time, for reasons I'll never understand. But all
that aside, if Justine is so conflicted about indicting Curtis because
of her friendship with his girlfriend, then she should hand the case
over to an ADA. Or is she so enamored of Jordan that she would consider
    even *that* a betrayal?

Absolutely accurate! It would be improper for any DA to consider what
stresses the potential defendant may be under. Most any criminal is
    under plenty of stress.

There is absolutely no way ADA Turner should have anything to do with
any potential criminal charges against Curtis. She is a close friend of Jordan, who is also the person who is in the eye of Curtis's rage
hurricane. And she said out loud she's not sure how she can prosecute
Curtis because of the largely self-inflicted stress Curtis is subject
to. That's a very clear conflict of interest.
