I was very glad that Britt and Lucas tried to game out the game later
and in private, tho. At least they have sense enough to try to work out
what the consequences might be if they were to tell Sidwell that Cullum
had killed Marco. And they did manage to do a fairly good job of it,
getting as far as recognition that Sidwell's questions about Cullum's
motive would bring Sidwell's wrath down on *their* heads. So I'm hopeful
that they'll realize they'll need help to neutralize Sidwell and Cullum.
There is certainly a large pool of potential helpers to choose from, and
it's growing by the day!
Yeah, that is a problem. Maybe Jason can unexpectedly return from his sabbatical to save the day, or Cassius will switch sides.
It seems like Cullum could have neutralized the threat without killing
his partner's son. That was a huge risk. If Sidwell learns the truth,
either Cullum or Sidwell will undoubtedly wind up dead. Or both of them will. Surely there was another option. Like telling Sidwell about
Marco's involvement and cutting Marco out of any further role in the
plan and evicting Marco from the island.
Agree. The murder seemed to me to be a sadistic psycho act that
accomplished nothing but to gratify Cullum's sicko bloodlust. Cullum
will wind up dead eventually, by the hand of any number of characters.
He's too evil live past this story arc, IMO, especially now that he's
begun to turn his eye on Danny and Rocco, just as he did on Marco. It's
evil enough to butcher an adult in cold blood, but targeting a child is
several orders of magnitude worse. Sidwell, OTOH, is just the sort of
blustery, emotionally-charged villain with staying power. I would expect
him to stick around for awhile, especially now that PC's Cassadine
affliction seems to be in remission.
