I really donrCOt buy that Liesl and Britt have no idea about Cassius.
Britt initially warned the family about meeting faux Nathan. You would
think she would be overjoyed to have Nathan back. Her explanation was weak.

We were given some early hints that Cassius was raised by Nathan. He
explained knowing the periodic table, because his father made him learn it.

It is possible that he has HuntingdonrCOs. Britt was reluctant to test for
it til Jason persuaded her. Perhaps both Nathan and Cassius have or had it.

It is possible that Cassius is actually the one who created the medicine
    for the condition.

But this still makes one wonder why they need a supervillain super weapon dependent on cold fusion.

That comment that Cassius "Schmathan" Faison made to Lulu about his
father making him learn the periodic table was odd enough to have at
least caused Lulu to look puzzled, even if she hadn't pressed him on it.

Lulu has been Maxie's best friend for years. She knew that Nathan was
raised by Nina's mother Madeline and that there had been no father in
the picture at all. She knew that Nathan didn't know who his father was
until long after he'd become an adult, and that even then, that he'd
been lied to by Liesl, who told him his father was Victor Cassadine
before later confessing to him that it was actually Cesar Faison.

So if Cassius has been pretending to be Nathan, that comment about the
periodic table should have made Lulu wonder exactly who he meant by "his father." But it didn't seem to register on her at all.

I screwed that up. I meant raised by Faison. Sorry. Oops

If there was ever a father figure in the picture, it would have been MadelinerCOs husband i.e., NinarCOs (probably, tho at this point who knows) real father.

He was a wall street banker type, iirc.

I would think he would have made Nathan learn stuff like how to avoid
    getting caught doing insider trading!

Dan Reeves. I don't think he's ever been challenged as Nina's father,
but they could always come up with something retroactively, as they so
    often do.

He was a wall street banker type, iirc.

Real estate. He had connections somehow to the congressman whose seat
Drew won, which is how Nina was able to help Drew get his foot in the
    door.

Old Dan had shuffled off the mortal coil before Liesl dumped Nathan on Madeline's doorstep and ran off with Cesar.

So poor Nathan grew up without a daddy. If Cassius Schmassius Faison
grew up with one, it was likely Cesar Faison, who might have fancied
himself the reincarnation of Albert Einstein, but could only manage the
hairdo. And even that was a bit off kilter.
