While Moe was busy defying a court order (as improbable as *that* thing
was to have been approved by a court), Curly and Larry somehow managed
to force Ric to swallow sleeping pills so that they could use his
fingerprint to open his phone. He's strapped down in a prone position
and can't fight them off, so why they would need to give him sleeping
pills is a mystery.
Another mystery is how an attorney could practice law without an office
and at least one assistant. I don't think operating out of a FedEx,
downloading legal templates from the internet and filling in the blanks
would cut it. Of course Ric can't be given an assistant because an
assistant would have called Molly to ask if she knew why her dad had
dropped off the face of the earth and if the police should be notified.
Can't have that.
And yet *another* mystery is how Curly and Larry could possibly convince
a court, simply via emails and texts, that Ric's pending cases before
them should be delayed indefinitely because he's traipsed off into the wilderness to navel gaze. That would require a court appearance, besides
which, it's very doubtful courts would allow disruption to their dockets
for something like that. But when Moe came home after breaking the law
(again), she put her stamp of approval on Curly's and Larry's demented email/text scheme, so...yeah, I'm sure it'll be just fine.
