Why did Joss and Vaughn know the combination to the lock on the console
behind Brennan's desk, but Brennan's lieutenant Colette did not?

Speaking of J & V, not sure what's going on with them, trussed up in
that locked room. I'd like to think that it's not what it seems, because
if it isn't, then it's just a bad attempt at a spy story. I'd like to
think that Vaughn could be a double agent in cahoots with Pascal and
"He," or might actually be "He," and that the beating and threat of
torture was a ruse. I'd like to think that Joss gave Pascal a bunch of meaningless numbers to buy time for escape. I'd like to think that
Vaughn's "game, set and match" comment was meant to trigger a response
in Joss that would make her turn green, sprout a bad haircut, and grow
so enormous that the zip ties would break apart...well, maybe not that
last bit, but I would like to think that the phrase was code for some
sort of action that would make her act like an actual spy instead of
someone who is only playing at it. But they *were* wearing tennis togs,
    so maybe not.... <shrug>

If no one can hear Ric yelling, then why the ball gag? If no one can
hear him, so what if he wastes his energy yelling his head off?

Once Ric and Ava were given that first blackmail payment, they shouldn't
have continued to be a threat. Had they made good on their threat to rat
on Kristina and Alexis after that first payment, they would be ratting
on themselves as well. Don't know about NY, but in my state, and
probably in most others, extortion (Ric and Ava) is a crime less severe
than attempted murder (Kristina) but more severe than embezzlement
(Alexis). So, yeah, those subsequent payments were really unnecessary,
and Alexis is just further proof that it doesn't take a complete
compliment of brain cells to pass a bar exam.

Very disappointed that Dr Dimples has turned out to be such a spiteful, vengeful creep. His little ego was bruised because Jordan dumped him, so
he gloms onto Portia as a way to drive a wedge between Jordan and
Curtis. And of course Portia--who has turned the corner from annoyingly
silly to downright asinine--was a willing tool.

Very happy to see that QB1's heretofore unproductive eavesdropping habit
has finally paid off for the home team. Maybe Brennan should recruit
    *him*.

When everyone dropped everything and rushed to the hospital for Maxie,
Spinelli told Felicia that he had left Bailey with Charlotte...and it
barely registered on anyone. I thought Charlotte was considered sort of
odd and unstable, someone who had once been a stalker and an arsonist
and who might still play with matches for anyone knows--definitely not babysitter material, IAC. Maybe she was the only person in Maxie's
circle who hadn't rushed to the hospital, but Spinelli could have easily
said he had left the baby with a sitter without mentioning a name.

This is a great question. Not so much why Joss seemed to know it, but
    Colette did not.

Possible that Joss has a photographic memory of sorts, which would require
her having witnessed him opening the safe, or having unintentionally seen
    the combination written down.

Alternate explanation would have them rehearsing such a scenario prior to deployment.

    Maybe Ironman.

Vaughn seemed genuinely mad at her and called her a traitor.

A traitor to what? DoesnrCOt the W in WSB stand for World? DoesnrCOt make them American just because they have a station in Port Charles.

I think the safe itself is a ruse, containing disinformation.

I thought all the same about this kidnapping. The delight Alexis displayed
    was sickening.

Some said the ball gag was possibly reference to rCLPulp FictionrCY or maybe Hannibal Lecter. I donrCOt see it. Agree with Kaitlin, seemed pointless.

As for bodily functions, not one of the women involved has the physical
skill set to mind him during a break. They can only accomplish this with a
gun. I see an accidental shooting in the near future.

I suspect they are getting ready to reveal his evil family, alluded to by
    Brick several months ago.

I didnrCOt catch that. Charlotte should be in some distant boarding school. Surprised she is available.

Vaughn, at least, seemed to be aware that they were being monitored, so
his words and actions might have been an act.

A traitor to the WSB alliance nations maybe?

I think the safe itself is a ruse, containing disinformation.

Possible. But that would require Brennan to have a deeper layer of
smarts than he does, and so far, there hasn't been any indication that
there's any more to him than what we've already seen. A seasoned
spymaster wouldn't risk a romance with the civilian mother of one of his agents.

It really was. They seem to think all of that is okay because Ric is
such an unsympathetic character. He is, but what those three nitwits are
doing to him is not okay. Substitute an oubliette for the basement and
tuck a poodle dog under Alexis's arm and it's a scene from Silence of
    the Lambs.

Agree. There wasn't a ball gag in Silence of the Lambs, but IAC, I don't
think the one in Ric's mouth was a reference to anything. I think they
just thought it would be funny. And even funnier if Kristina said she
found it in Ava's glove compartment.

*Something* will go wrong, that's for sure.

Lulu wouldn't send her to a boarding school, that was Valentin's thing.
Since she was rescued from Val's tentacles, she's supposedly been back
in PC. I guess since she doesn't figure in a story right now, she's
mentioned but never seen. They'll probably trot her out again when they
want to make a mystery of someone being stalked or something being
    burned down.
