    BIG CASTING NEWS FROM SALEM!

    Deadline is reporting that Sydney Malakeh has joined Days of Our Lives as an adult Sydney DiMera, the daughter of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel).

    Sydney has been away from Salem for years. The character was most recently seen as a pre-teen in the 2021 Peacock movie Days of our Lives: A Very Salem Christmas.

    Malakeh will make her first appearance as Sydney on September 9.

    MalakehrCOs previous credits include GreyrCOs Anatomy, Shrinking, Loot, and The Sex Lives of College Girls.

    ANOTHER NEW MAN IS HEADED TO SALEM

    Franco LoPresti, known for playing Cliff Marleau on Heated Rivalry, has also joined Days of Our Lives.

    LoPresti will play a new character named Dante, who arrives in Salem on September 14.

    HererCOs the especially interesting part: Deadline says Dante has links to Sami.

    Exactly what those links are has not been revealed, which certainly leaves plenty of room for speculation.

    Could Dante be someone from SamirCOs past? A friend? An enemy? Or could his arrival lead to even more DiMera family drama?

    LoPrestirCOs other credits include Tracker and Chucky.

    MORE NEW FACES IN SALEM

    Sydney and Dante are part of a new wave of casting on the Peacock soap.

    Brandon Butler, known for 13 Reasons Why, recently began appearing as Mason Whitfield on September 1. Butler has also appeared in Hysteria! and SEAL Team.

    With an adult Sydney DiMera finally returning to Salem and a mysterious new character connected to Sami arriving just days later, it sounds like DAYS may have some big plans for Sami and the DiMera family.
