• Hairpieces on the guys in Days Of Our Lives

I hate to complain, but does anybody else really dislike the hairpieces
that appear on many of the men in Days Of Our Lives? I would much rather
see the guys with a natural hairline than to see artificial hair addeed
to their foreheads that don't even match their own hair that is still
showing underneath the hairpieces. If you didn't notice this before,
please pardon me for telling about it.

I hadn't noticed it, though I do see the hair 'fluffed up' on a
    couplathree of the older men.

Suzeeq, Thank you for what you shared. For me, I notice a "V" shape
pointing down from the forehead area and the hairpiece is a darker color
than the hair that is underneath or their own real hair. The colors not
totally matching is what disturbs me the most. Again, thanks for
    commenting. EfOe

Those hair pieces were so much worse today. EJ had some strange thing
poking out of the back of his. Several other guys really don't have to
have hair pieces added--it's a shame that the hairdresser can't provide
higher quality coloring and more natural looking wigs if that's what the heairdresser is wanting to achieve. It's annoyed me for a very long time
and seems to be getting worse. grrrrrr

Now that you mention it, I have been side-eyeing some of those hairlines lately! It's like the Salem stylists got a bulk discount on the same "mystery synthetic" toupees - extra points when the color clashes with their real hair underneath.

I get why they do it (TV lighting is brutal, and not everyone's got Brady's luscious locks), but sometimes it's so distracting it steals scenes. Wasn't there a time when someone on the show had their piece slowly creep backward during an emotional confrontation? Iconic, but not in the way they intended.

That said, props to the actors who rock the look anyway. Maybe the wigs are secretly a Salem curse - right up there with back-from-the-dead plot twists.

The real mystery: Why does every villain get the same slicked-back rug? Coincidence? I think not.

MummyChunk, Thank you for confirming what still bugs the heck out of me. Especially the one EJ wears. EfOe

Except I don't think it is one. Even Chad had a similar haircut, really
close on the sides, but long on top and at the back. I've seen other
actors and even real people with longish hair on top and very short at
the sides and back. Sort of a modified mohawk, only combed flat, not
    spiked up.

Suzeeq is right that a popular hairstyle for men nowadays is long on top
but cut close on the sides.

Just for fun, I randomly googled best modern haircuts for men and this
is one of the sites that came up:

I appreciate all of the feedback; I'm still convinced most of the actors
on Days aren't showing their true hair appearances. I've worn wigs
before but primarily only at Halloween.
