Well you also don't die (apparently) from being impaled (as Tony was) or
from a crashing elevator (Jack), so I don't think I would be too bothered by
a fall off a roof. For that matter, I think Kristin came back once from a fall or jump out an upper story window once, which probably compares to a
fall off a roof. And just to be clear, none of these was ever really explained.

I figured the Salem Inn is only about 2 or 3 stories high anyway....
Kristin's jump was out of the window and down a cliff at water's edge.
Must not have been rocks in the way.
