    Hello everybody,
Apparently there is a newer firmware for the board that is Y2k compatible:
    TD 2629] PDP 11/93 & 11/94 Y2K EPROM Upgrade - BLITZ
    Unique Id: 009D5E07-E6DB80A0-1C02A1

PRODUCT NAME(S) IMPACTED: PDP 11/93 and PDP 11/94 Systems
    PRODUCT FAMILY(IES): PRODUCT NUMBERS:
    Storage ___ ________________
    Systems _X_ ________________
    Networks ___ ________________
    PC ___ ________________
    Software ___ ________________
    Other (specify) ___ ________________
    PROBLEM STATEMENT:
PDP11-93/94 systems based on the KDJ11-E processor have console monitor firmware containing a date and time function that is not Year 2000
    Ready
    PROBLEM SYMPTOM:
    - Could not set date on Feb 29, 2000
    - Year would not set beyond year 2010
    - Firmware not correctly reporting date/day to O/S
    SOLUTION:
Install new firmware (EPROM) that corrects all of the symptoms.
Part number for the EPROM kit is: 4A-KDJ11-XA
This kit is orderable through Logistics for contract customers.
Non-contract customers may purchase the kit through Compaq Assisted
Services and either self-install or arrange for a per-call installation
from their local Compaq Service provider.
You will not get a good grip on this spare part. Does anyone know what type of EPROM is installed - probably 27xx series and has access to the content of the EPROMS as a file, the EPROMS itself to make a copy. The data files would be enough for me, I have empty EPROMS and a programming device here.
    Greetings from Mikesch

I have this firmware in my 11/93. It was dumped from a ST 27C512-type
    chip dated 9905. Label said (c)DEC99 HA9908 377E7 U106 V2.01.
    My own 11/93 board U106 used a 120nS NM27C512Q-120, simple swap.

Apparently there is a newer firmware for the board that is Y2k compatible:

FWIW, mine has two roms -

    TB2 U006
    V2.0.08.FEB.90

    and

    (C) DEC 99
    HA9908 377E7
    U106 V2.01

Hard to tell whether I have the updates or no.

    Hello De

If you can setup a date greater than 2010 you have the newest version.

I've got the files for the EPROM a 27512 and a 27128. - Got it at the PDP-11 group of Facebook

I'll check it this week - burning the EPROMS

Saw Robert's note after I posted mine, and his chip has the same label
as mine. My /93 was used in a campus environmental control system after
Y2K (I imaged its drives in 2012, not _too_ long after I acquired it),
so it makes sense that it has the fixes.

Certainly I can set a date in the present.

Yes I think so. Same labelling as mine. I don't think the U006 is
    relevant to Y2K, only the U106 (certainly I haven't changed my U006).

Yes the U006 is not Y2k relevant, but there are some changes.

The old version (pre Y2k) was V2.0 - as you can see at the attached picture and V 1.06 at the 2nd EProm

After changes the EProm's version is 2.01 and booting from MSCP drives with non standard Controller address is working.

I'm sorry attaching of pictures is not possible at this group - reasons? so just use these onedrive link to see the pictures
