Historically, half mile harness tracks have produced consistent winning
post positions in the exactas and daily doubles. Here are the average percentages that the posts have been in the doubles and exactas for over
    ten years :

P.P. In Exactas P.P. In Doubles
    1 32% 1 20%
    2 31% 2 18%
    3 27% 3 13%
    4 32% 4 15%
    5 27% 5 12%
    6 21% 6 8%
    7 17% 7 9%
    8 14% 8 6%
    9 29%
    10 44%

Looking first at the Doubles chart, you would think that the 1, 2, and 4 horses are the best Double numbers to play. NOT SO! While these numbers
are frequently in the Double, they simply do NOT show a profit over the
long run, because the payoffs are often quite small.

In my ten year research, there are only FIVE Doubles which most often
show a betting profit on a half mile harness track. Those Doubles are:

    1-2 1-4 2-1 3-2 6-2

As far as the exactas, there is one exacta box that has been profitable
meet after meet, and these numbers are in agreement with the chart given above. That box is 1-2-4.

If you like playing numbers instead of spending time handicapping, I
would suggest the same box when playing triples. Remember, there is no
way to expect these (or any other) numbers for a particular race or a particular night. These numbers have proven profitable over a long
period, usually the entire meet. It would be wise to keep a list of how
these numbers do at the track yourCOre betting for a while before you begin.

Lastly, jut as you should be warned when you jump into the stock market
... rCLPast performance is NO indication of future resultsrCY. ThererCOs never a guarantee!

    Good Luck!
