From Newsgroup: alt.privacy.anon-server
For anyone wondering whether encrypted messages can actually be posted
to alt.anonymous.messages: on news.tcpreset.net they can, and they are.
The group is alive and open. The INN active file lists it as alt.anonymous.messages 0000013732 0000012429 y (posting allowed,
unmoderated, roughly 1300 articles retained).
A look at recent articles shows encrypted and anonymized traffic being
posted and propagated normally:
- Nym mixnet posts via the Hermes gateway.
- Remailer posts: From: Anonymous <
nobody@remailer.paranoici.org>,
similar hashed subjects and opaque payloads.
- Ordinary spam still gets through, so the group is not filtered to encrypted-only, but that is a content-agnostic observation, not a
limitation.
So if someone claims encrypted messages cannot be posted to AAM, that is
not the case on news.tcpreset.net.
Whether any given upstream gateway accepts them depends on that
gateway's operator.
