  • 2nd email persona :-)

    From Joe@joe@invalid.invalid to alt.privacy.anon-server on Fri Sep 18 21:44:45 2026
    From Newsgroup: alt.privacy.anon-server

    Hi all,

    inspired by the recent biblic postings here, I thought would it not be nice
    to have a program that automatically generates, crawled from public data,
    names and surnames with a corresponding email address, so that the final generated list could be used to pick a pseudonym (2nd persona), for registering an email account, even if you already have one, so that it can be used
    for new email correspondence, while using Deepl Write or Jan.AI etc.,
    for new communications under a speudonym.

    Deepl Write is very cool, if you use the Desktop app, via a VPN, like
    NymVPN and jan.ai is good for offline writing (with a formulated prompt,
    on an air gapped device.

    Additionally, when one looks at Usenet From: headers, they look a bit
    boring, when posted via n2n.oc2mx.net or virebent.at, because posters
    always use something like anon@invalid.invalid etc.

    So, here is my solution, the program is calles '2p' (2nd persona) and
    the CLI workflow looks li8ke this:

    $ ./s -name m-DE.txt -surname s-DE.txt > identities.txt -count 10

    m-DE.txt contains an alphabetic list of german male names and s-DE.txt
    is an alphabetic surnames list, while when the program runs it shuffles
    the data, for unique name pairs.

    identities.txt output:

    Arend Opitz
    Benjamin Voss
    Bj||rn K||lbl
    Clas Schindler
    David Dreier
    Edgar Zimmerer
    Gerhard Witzke
    Gunnar Schulze
    Gunter Bohr
    Hannes K||stler

    For email generation email-domains.txt (for now) looks like
    this:

    gmail.com
    yahoo.com
    tuta.io
    mailfence.com
    protonmail.com
    proton.me
    nymph.paranoici.org

    Before the second run of the program I sort with 'sort'
    identities.txt.

    Now the second run of '2p':

    $ ./s -i identities.txt -e email-domains.txt > result.txt

    Output:

    Arend Opitz <arend.opitz@gmail.com>

    As you can see, when creating a 2nd persona you have
    a lot of options to choose a name and email (or nym) address.

    I am working now on an (U.S.) English names/surnames list
    and once finished I upload the project to GitHub, so that
    you all can try '2p' out.

    Since I am not familar with American names and surnames I
    would later, once uploaded, ask the community to check
    those lists and do proper corrections, so that they become
    production-ready.

    Hope you like the idea of a second persona with the combination
    of Deepl Write or Jan.AI to counteract Stylometry on the Internet!

    Ok. I have th US lists ready, but they need a clean-up,
    me thinks, because I only want to have original U.S.
    names in it and not Asian etc.

    https://jumpshare.com/share/kKOldjSXu3VrRpFQ7i8Q (f-US.txt) https://jumpshare.com/share/t1Z68VWBofYYzfu9H3Ns (m-US.txt) https://jumpshare.com/share/EkHEExqGrruzBLMelZtF (s-US.txt)

    Please take a look at them and correct the lists and be
    so kind to mail them to me, or post them here.

    I guess, you fail to understand. p2 is intended for creating
    a second persona[1], when using Deepl Write or jan.ai, to not
    been easily detected by Stylometry[1], which is used in Usenet.

    While p2 generates your favorite identity automatically, it
    can not spam Usenet, when using Deepl Write or jan.ai.
    Ollama ist an option too, but has a higher learning curve.

    p2 is also useful for social media, like Mastodon etc. and
    not only for email or Usenet.

    [1] Lance Cottrell, author of Mixmaster, talked about it
    years ago and the identifying rate back then was 99%.

    an email account, even if you already have one, so that it can be used
    for new email correspondence, while using Deepl Write or Jan.AI etc.,
    for new communications under a speudonym.

    $ ./s -name m-DE.txt -surname s-DE.txt > identities.txt -count 10

    m-DE.txt contains an alphabetic list of german male names and s-DE.txt
    is an alphabetic surnames list, while when the program runs it shuffles
    the data, for unique name pairs.

    identities.txt output:

    Arend Opitz
    [...]

    For email generation email-domains.txt (for now) looks like
    this:

    gmail.com
    yahoo.com
    tuta.io
    mailfence.com
    protonmail.com
    proton.me
    nymph.paranoici.org

    Before the second run of the program I sort with 'sort'
    identities.txt.

    Now the second run of '2p':

    $ ./s -i identities.txt -e email-domains.txt > result.txt

    Output:

    Arend Opitz <arend.opitz@gmail.com>
    [...]

    Best regards

    It worked with BitMessage. It worked with Briar. And now here.

    The porgram is finished, also a brand new U.S. name/surname list
    was created and I renamed the program to 'op' = Online Persona. :-)

    $ op -h
    Online Persona - (c) 2026 Ch1ffr3punk

    Usage:
    op -name NAMES.txt -surname SURNAMES.txt [options]
    op -i IDENTITIES.txt -e DOMAINS.txt [options]

    Default behavior:
    Without further options, all possible pairs are produced
    (Cartesian product) and the output is shuffled.

    Pair selection:
    -count N Output only N random pairs instead of all.
    With -unique the N pairs are distinct.
    -zip Pair line i of the first list with line i of the second
    list instead of forming all combinations.
    Length is the shorter list; -count is ignored.

    Output:
    -sep S Separator between the two words (default " ")
    -out FILE Output file (default: stdout; "-" means stdout)
    -no-shuffle Do not shuffle the output order

    Input handling:
    -unique Remove duplicate words from the input lists;
    with -count also avoid duplicate pairs.

    Reproducibility:
    -seed N Random seed (0 = time-based)

    Email mode:
    -i FILE Identity list, one "First Last" per line.
    -e FILE Email domain list, one domain per line (e.g. gmail.com).
    Both -i and -e must be set; pair-mode flags are ignored.
    For each identity and each domain, four local-part variants are
    written, followed by a blank line.

    Examples:
    op -name names.txt -surname surnames.txt
    op -name names.txt -surname surnames.txt -count 1000 -unique
    op -name names.txt -surname surnames.txt -zip -no-shuffle
    op -name names.txt -surname surnames.txt -seed 42 -out pairs.txt
    op -i identities.txt -e email_domains.txt > result.txt
