How exciting. Yet ANOTHER version of Linux.
BFD.
Distrowatch shows only two releases so far.
Even when people have been working on a distro
for more than ten years, the LiveDVD media can
still be a shambles. Judging by the number of
releases, some teams are just too small to produce
a good product. One team, their beta was awful
(version of LiveDVD before release, to be tested
by the faithful). However, when the real release
came out, all the dodgy bleeding edge stuff
that had failed, had been removed from the final
release. That takes skill, to go from shit to shine
in a short interval.

I couldn't even get Zorin to run on my Daily Driver the
other day. I'd tested it on the other machines in the
room, but not on this machine. The X server wouldn't
start when my 4K monitor was connected.
If promoting Linux, use something reliable like Linux Mint,
instead of bobbing for apples in the 500+ other distros.
I booted something here a week ago, where the mouse stopped
working after five minutes into a live session. There is
apparently a lot of work needed on media preparation and
the testing of such before release.
The only reason I bought a 4K monitor, is I thought
"the era of 4K monitor disasters is over". Well, I was wrong.
You can still manage to not bring up a box on a 4K monitor.
Testing odd-ball distros is a hobby you can carry out on
the side, in a VM. If you're a Windows user looking to
transition, that's not the time to dip into the big barrel
of apples and grab one at random.
One of the issues, is "where do you get help". USENET
has a group for Linux Mint and Ubuntu. But it does not
have 500 groups corresponding to the 500 distros. And just
like the purchase of obscure computers, you should not
select something that you cannot find a user community to
get help.
