• OMNIMIX: question about Configurator

    From John Doe@johndoe@anon.anon to alt.privacy.anon-server on Fri Sep 18 12:57:31 2026
    From Newsgroup: alt.privacy.anon-server

    In OMNIMIX, ModNym tab,
    Configurator,
    Nym Routing tab,
    Keys-Remailer section
where Omnimix find the remailers listed here?
How can I delete or add remailer to this list?
For example in my list it is still present Ipsum Remailer <mix@eocto.net>
that I think is dead some time ago.
    Thank You

Yes, stick to it, you are only posting to usenet, aren't you?

But if you are on someone else workstation you can use
    https://yamnweb.virebent.art

    Or

    https://m2n.tcpreset.net

No installation required, no dependencies, any OS you are on.

It's about mail communiation, not restricted to the usenet.

But if you are on someone else workstation you can use

I didn't know OM was portable and self contained.

    That's good !

I don't have much experience about OM.

I tried to run it by wine ages ago.
The huge number of tabs freaked me out.

GUI applications weren't appealing for me.

IMHO, it was far more appealing to build my playground module by module,
    in a bash shell.

Every service is my choice, every configuration is my choice,
every encryption chipher is my choice,
    and every mistake too.

How did Snowden do it... He, IIRC, copied data to his laptop.

When communicating anonymously from an office this means also
that a mole can send messages or data with Nymx Mail od NymX,
which will most likely not been blocked like Tor/smtp OM usage,
and needs no USB stick, as one can download Windows binaries

How did Snowden do it... He, IIRC, copied data to his laptop.

... which means he separated them from the hostile office environment.
I'm sure he never used 3rd party computers to send revealing messages.

... or from his own server or Danner's website, provided that running unregistered software isn't blocked. Btw, how will the OS detect SMTP
traffic sent Tor-encoded through the https port? IOW, which office
environment is equipped with such a sophisticated packet sniffer? But
all in all that's a vain discussion, as your office setting remains
insecure no matter which software you run or external service you use.

Your delusional ideas to back up your hacks are downright ridiculous.

Correct, and that is why OM is not suitable to do that
    in an office... ;-)

That's why such a hostile environment can by no means be used to
    communicate anonymously.

How did Snowden do it... He, IIRC, copied data to his laptop.

... which means he separated them from the hostile office environment.
I'm sure he never used 3rd party computers to send revealing messages.

Personal computers are not allowed to access certain networks there,
guest access in restricted areas only. Cell phones surrendered on
    entry.

When communicating anonymously from an office this means also
that a mole can send messages or data with Nymx Mail od NymX,
which will most likely not been blocked like Tor/smtp OM usage,
and needs no USB stick, as one can download Windows binaries
    from GitHub.

... or from his own server or Danner's website, provided that running unregistered software isn't blocked. Btw, how will the OS detect SMTP traffic sent Tor-encoded through the https port? IOW, which office environment is equipped with such a sophisticated packet sniffer? But
all in all that's a vain discussion, as your office setting remains
insecure no matter which software you run or external service you use.

Your delusional ideas to back up your hacks are downright ridiculous.

No way to sniff Tor except at exit nodes. Yes someone can tell you have accessed Tor, but they cannot determine what you are doing or where you
    exit.

Tor - Layered Encryption: Your data is encrypted three times before it
leaves your device. It moves through three different servers (nodes):
the Guard node, the Middle node, and the Exit node.

The only thing they can do on internal networks is block Tor using
various means, and to be accurate, there are a few ways around that.

You have to update that keyring list manually.

With every status update Cypherpunk keyrings are also downloaded from
the site defined in StateExt|Cypk_T1|Keys and stored in the file
    defined
    in StateInt|Cypk_T1|Keys, usually "dat\cyp_keys.asc".

At the Nym Configurator, tab "Nym Routing", list "Keys - Remailer" use
the pulldown menus "Delete All Keys" to clear the list, then "Import
Key(s)" and select the keyring file with the most recent timestamp
    from
the folder defined above to repopulate it.

At StateInt|Nym|Backup_Keys_and_Lists you define in which intervals
    you
backup those keyring files instead of overwriting them with newer
    ones.

After you will find a road you have to walk all the way down, turn
lef, turn right, go straight, jump ...

That reminds me of an unpleasant episode on a Sunday shift about 18
years ago. Back then I ran my portable mailing system with OM and Tor
on port 443 from a USB device intermittently connected with my office
computer, when all of a sudden I got an emergency call from the sys
admin's home. He was alarmed by my computer's virus scanner while I downloaded, decoded and stored nym replies, which unfortunately
    contained contaminated spam mail.

Your offerings, while much appreciated, have unnecessary limits.
OmniMix and the news clients that use it don't have the same.

to send messages and the smtp port is blocked?

or Tor usage and USB stick usage is not allowed...

Android, iPhone, Meta glasses, portable WiFi Hotspot, tablet with
    cellular SIM card, others.

Which the suggested OmniCrap is not working on... :-D :-D :-D

Only a simpleton like you trusts blindly in the privacy assurance
given by data harvesters like Google, Apple and Meta.

OTOH the OmniMix proxy server has to be operated within a secure
environment though it can be accessed from all over the world through
    its Tor Hidden Services.

Instead of defending outdated OmniMix, I create modern privacy tools
for "simpletons", like Mixfit, which runs nicely with Orbot on
    PlugMate. :-)

    https://plugos.net/plugmate

    Easily blocked, just like Tor.

Yes, stick to it, you are only posting to usenet, aren't you?

It's about mail communiation, not restricted to the usenet.

But if you are on someone else workstation you can use

the OmniMix system with its Mailer copied to a USB device,
which is much more secure than a web interface like

    https://yamnweb.virebent.art

    No installation required, no dependencies.

    Android phone.
    -or-
    Android + Winlator + OmniMix / other.

    There are other ways.

Correct, NymX and NymX Mail... :-)

    Easier to block than Tor.

One can send Sphinx packets and Loopix Cover Traffic
through Tor first, which would also make Type II packets
not detectable, when Tor streams are analyzed.

May I ask you what hacks? There is only one hack, used by TLAs/LEAs.

It is a Windows only GUI hack, with outdated (patched) programs,
worst UX ever, created by a wanker who supports Banderites and
    you use it. ;-)

OmniMix has been working reliably for years. It's versatile and
    flexible.

Your offerings, while much appreciated, have unnecessary limits.
OmniMix and the news clients that use it don't have the same.

Also, because of an exit you use, half your stuff needs constant
    attention just to stay operational.

Just so you're aware, I can filter and block your app traffic on any
Cisco / Extreme Networks / Juniper router.

So, you mean 14 eyes can block inner Eurasien Tor or Nym traffic, done
via public WIFI, when using PlugMate?
