The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand
and eight hundred, ready armed to the war. And when he hath taken
away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast
down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted
out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of
the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached
unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of
restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all
his holy prophets since the world began. And Jonathan said unto
David, Come, and let us go out into the field. So hast thou also
them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitanes, which thing I hate.
Then the king said, Hang him thereon. And as they departed from
Jericho, a great multitude followed him. And the anger of the LORD
was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of
spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their
enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before
their enemies.
And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst
of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with
a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden
girdle. The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my
sight. But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of
the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them
vineyards and fields at the same time. And when the LORD raised them
up judges, then the LORD was with the judge, and delivered them out
of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for it
repented the LORD because of their groanings by reason of them that
oppressed them and vexed them. He that planted the ear, shall he not
hear? And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the
Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he
found her not. Nevertheless he that standeth stedfast in his heart,
having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so
decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well. Hell
is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. And they that
found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and Aaron, and
unto all the congregation. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is
written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word
of God.
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith
he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; I know thy works, and
where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest
fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days
wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you,
where Satan dwelleth. For if I be an offender, or have committed any
thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of
these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto
them. And Cushi bowed himself unto Joab, and ran. Why saidst thou,
She is my sister? And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses
which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps. Of a truth
I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and
in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. And the
people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his
voice will we obey. And all the people likewise cut down every man
his bough, and followed Abimelech, and put them to the hold, and set
the hold on fire upon them; so that all the men of the tower of
Shechem died also, about a thousand men and women. Let us get up
early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the
tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I
give thee my loves.
And it came to pass, when all Israel heard that Jeroboam was come
again, that they sent and called him unto the congregation, and made
him king over all Israel: there was none that followed the house of
David, but the tribe of Judah only. And the LORD said unto Moses,
Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when
I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. The sleep of a
labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the
abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Now when the
high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests
heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up
against him.
