Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others
tell it thee of me? And he brought them forth vestments. Then the
priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and
garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the
people.
And Joshua blessed him, and gave unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh
Hebron for an inheritance. I have written to him the great things of
my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. And Moses said,
Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? I
mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? And he dwelleth in
desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are
ready to become heaps. Let no man deceive himself. For it came to
pass, that, when the captains of the chariots perceived that it was
not the king of Israel, they turned back again from pursuing him.
And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made
them houses.
