The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his
works. And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be
of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem,
so must thou bear witness also at Rome. Thou hast moreover
multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and
yet thou wast not satisfied herewith. Regard not them that have
familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them:
I am the LORD your God. And Stephen, full of faith and power, did
great wonders and miracles among the people. The secret of the LORD
is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my
right hand. And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked,
and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. Ye shall
fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I
am the LORD your God. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy
brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own
    eye?

If a man be found stealing any of his brethren of the children of
Israel, and maketh merchandise of him, or selleth him; then that
thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you. And
the LORD saith, Because they have forsaken my law which I set before
them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; But have
walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after Baalim,
which their fathers taught them: Therefore thus saith the LORD of
hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this
people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink. And the
Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare
the shield went before him. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and
all the people followed him trembling. Thus saith the LORD, Behold,
I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will
take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour,
and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun. Who
against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of
many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed
be. Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of
    skins, and clothed them.

And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they
rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the
door of faith unto the Gentiles. The LORD strong and mighty, the
LORD mighty in battle. And the fear of the LORD fell upon all the
kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made
    no war against Jehoshaphat.

And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a
sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the
way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon
stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they
sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun
was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they
withered away. When therefore the LORD knew how the Pharisees had
heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though
Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and
departed again into Galilee. And Joab returned to Jerusalem unto the
    king.

And it came to pass the same day, that Isaac's servants came, and
told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto
him, We have found water. And the Babylonians came to her into the
bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was
polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them. And what
one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom
God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name,
and to do for you great things and terrible, for thy land, before
thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the
nations and their gods? Is any man called being circumcised?
Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD of hosts, O my people that
dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian: he shall smite thee
with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the
manner of Egypt. And the altars that were on the top of the upper
chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars
which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD,
did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast
the dust of them into the brook And the high places that were before
Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption,
which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the
abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the
Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon,
did the king defile. Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise
    is comely for the upright. They have gaped upon me with their mouth;
they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have
gathered themselves together against me. Forsake the foolish, and
live; and go in the way of understanding.
