    Hi,

    I am using english characters
    for password and text message

I kept AEC running on the Windows 11 machine
    that is the recepient

I sent the message from Windows 10 machine

    It arrived on alt.anonymous.messages

I fetched the message using Mixfit on Windows 11 machine
    and clicked view from articles

I was able to recover this message
and also decrypt the message on the recepient Windows 11 machine

I attributed the fact that AEC on the recepient Windows 11
    was kept running during
    the whole cycle
and the latest generated init key and peer key
    was available and mapped correctly

If I would have shutdown AEC or I would have generated
new key with different name and identity and new peer
    the decryption would have failed

Does AEC need to be kept running ?

I also see some fyne errors
which dont appear to be related to language

I will capture the fyne errors and post later

Also if it is required for AEC to be kept running
I would like to know from where I delete
other identity keys and peers which are not used
    during encryption decryption process

I guess AEC needs to be running
because whole decryption cycle happens in memory RAM
for the keys to be loaded

    Regards.

The AEC program does not need to run.

    An example:

Alice starts AEC with "Init" and when the QR-Code displays she
saves it and gives it to Bob. Bob uses then the .png image from
Alice to "Add" it on his computer. Same does Bob with his QR .png
    for Alice.

Once both have exchanged their QR codes they can encrypt to each other.

"Recover" is used when importing a QR code taken with a webcam.

In "Encrypt" Alice select Bob and for "Decrypt" Bob uses Alice.

    Hi,

I have compiled Go on Windows 10 PC
then used the same executables on Windows 11 PC

Yes I assume there should be only Alice and Bob

else AEC will confuse with other keys

I should not have more than 1 identity
and not more than 1 peer

    It works in this scenario

In future may be you can improve
AEC to include multiple identity and peers

And give option to remove or delete
    identity and peers

The detection of pairing of identity and peer
    should be automatic
or the program should try pairing of all available pairs
    of identity and peer
    to decrypt the message

Can you suggest how I remove
all previously generated identity and peers?
The storage location seems to be in the users directory of Windows

    Regards.

Thanks for your feedback, which is much appreciated!

I will in the future (not now) improve AEC with its key management.

The location of the .AEC folder is currently: C:\Users\username\.AEC

    Best regards
