    A simple Explorer search for part numbers across 100+ folders resulted in
    the dates being changed on every folder to the time it was accessed by the search.

    Not one change was made to any of the folder contents, yet this moronic operating system Windows 11 Vista piece of shit decided to change the
    folder dates.

    Windows 10 did not do that - ever.

    This is a brand new Windows 11 Vista installation on a Dell laptop, just rolled out in January 2026.

    Command line searches do not do that.
