A little tip, which is hopefully useful for some of you.
Because NymX Text Messenger is for UTF-8 text only designed,
you can send AEC .png QR-Codes with it, when using my old
    base64+ encoder/decoder.

This has the advantage that the filename of the encoded AEC
QR-Code is included in the payload, along with the file size
and a SHA256 hash. So when fetching files with a random
filename string from your Tor Hidden Service, base64+ writes
the original filename back, when decoding. Efye

There needs to be some explanation on what is needed and how to set
up this.program. Upon digging around, it seems to need you to manually
modify a .json file, but it is found in the source and doesn't come in
with the program. Maybe it has to be compiled with every new friend.
It seems to need tor to be running also. Who is to know how to run this
    thing?

You're right! However, in the current state NymX Messenger is more or
less a POC, because the Nym Mixnet has currently no Nym Hiddden Services,
as the Tor Network has, but it is on their agenda.

There is no detailed README, because of this, as regular Nym addresses
are bound to other Nym components in the Nym Mix Network, thus making NymX Messenger currently not production ready, as users need to frequently
change their Nym(X) addresses, when gateways come and go.

This needs to be addresses in the future from nym.com, to have 24/7
over years, reliable inner-mix-communication. With the Nym Mixnet and
clear net comms there are currently no issues, when using NymVPN.

Note, this is not the fault of NymX, it is the current nym.com network design.

A tutorial will follow later, which explains all components.
