    So, let's discuss this issue and what users can do about it.

    The problem is google/Apple monopoly on your privacy when you buy a
    cell phone. You have to share your privacy to maximize phone use.

    Smartphones are not your friend. They are designed to play to
    addictive behavior just like drugs. The price for that addition
    is giving up your privacy - which way too many are willing to do.

    There is a price for that.

    What about Microsoft Desktop environments?

    The same could be said for Windows 11 and macOS, I guess.

    For example, "D" and other OM users never post tutorials on how
    Windows users can protect themselves, with using, for example,
    Windows 11 build-in sandbox, because they do not know this
    feature. And they never talk about disabling cloud syncing etc.
