Ed Sheeran took the stage on Saturday night for the first time since Macklemore was removed from his stadium tour following the Seattle
rapperrCOs onstage speech in support of Palestinians. The singer, who did
not have any opening acts at the Philadelphia show, addressed the
backlash at the top of his set.
He continued: rCLI donrCOt want to disappoint fans, and IrCOve never wanted to be an activist musician, but this has put me in the middle of an
important and passionate argument about freedom of speech and the most
complex political issue on the planet.
rCLWhat happened in Israel and at the Nova Music Festival on October 7 was horrific and compounded centuries of Jewish pain. What is happening in
Gaza is catastrophic, unjustifiable, and disproportionate.

Sheeran still comes across as israel/ jewish /zionist sympathizer. The
idiot wants us to believe the genocide is happening because of Oct. 7.
All he had to say was one sentence, rCyI am horrified by the genocide
happening right before our eyes, my sympathies for the suffering of the Palestinian peoplerCO.
But we got some sort of convoluted bullshit, I guess jewish money must
be sweet. How can you love someonerCOs music when you know what is in
their heart. Words like unity and love are easy to say but does he
really mean them.
In the past Sheeran supported the Ukrainian people in a political way
when attacked by Russia. Are Palestinians people or animals to be
slaughtered.
