During the 2024 campaign, Donald Trump talked a lot about Venezuela. He claimed that country had emptied all its asylums and prisons and sent
the convicts and patients to America to kill us all in our beds. He was definitely not impressed with the Venezuelan government, nor did he
think much of its most valuable resource, which is an enormous amount of
oil. rCLWerCOre buying tar from Venezuela, and werCOre refining it in Houston,rCY he complained. rCLItrCOs the dirtiest, worst oil anywhere in the world. And werCOre refining it rCo so you can imagine whatrCOs going up in the air.rCY
Over the weekend, Trump made a huge announcement that the U.S. now owns
the rights to most of that terrible Venezuelan oil. It will start
flowing quickly, he promised, in hopes of bringing down gasoline prices
and refilling the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which is emptying quickly
as the war in Iran drags on. He called it a rCLGift from Venezuela to the People of the United States.rCY HerCOs always said that the biggest mistake the United States has made in past wars was its failure to rCLtake the
oil.rCY This time, herCOs taking it.

It seems like Trump has made a deal with a Venezuelan crime boss and is promising us it will cost the US nothing. Something for nothing, isn't
that socialism?
Lowering of oil and gas prices is not going to happen in the near
future. The production could take many years.
After destroying the worldrCOs oil supply with his Iran war, he has come
up with rCyfake newsrCO to con us before the midterms. Without the fake news these days, we would have no news at all but if you read between the
lines you can get the real news.
