President Donald Trump on Friday said the U.S. has entered an
agreement with Venezuela to take control of 65 billion barrels
of the South American countryrCOs oil reserves.

Trump in a social media post announced the agreement he said
was negotiated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense
Secretary Pete Hegseth and VenezuelarCOs interim President
    Delcy Rodriguez.

    . . .

This can be viewed as an appreciative Venezuela
for the US removing Maduro. Might also be viewed
an example of "US commercial imperialism". All
depends on your preferred point of view.

Anyway, for now, the USA does get to profit from
this contract and Venezuela will get a kickback.

However how QUICKLY this bounty can be exploited,
the Venez infrastructure was in bad shape, remains
to be seen. US gasoline prices really need to get
down to about the $2.99 range before the midterms.
Saw $3.75 the other day, but that's not quite
good enough to turn into political capital.

Last ten days gas swung from 3.75 to 3.60 to 3.83.

It's time to say the quiet part out loud.

Trump is insane. Biden was insane.

How can America recover from two insane Presidents in a row?
