of Friday afternoon out of a total of 43,329 across Northwest
Indiana.

It was a scary day for Gary resident Shumaine Douglas on Aug.
11. Heavy winds reaching nearly 100 miles per hour uprooted
a tree in her backyard that ended up cracking her roof.

In addition to not having power, sherCOs dealing with flooding
because her sump pump went out.

Power companies ... sometimes they fix quick, sometimes
really slow, sometimes not at all. Shit, I have nasty
veggies growing into my power stuff and the company
now has a "press one for, press two for" and there's
NO option for "My place is about to catch fire or
electrocute someone". WHEN something horrible happens
they suggest calling 911 ...... and will surely deny
all responsibility ........
