    the actual value of 40 trillion.

    Still, it's a lot of money.

    The USA is hardly the only country that
    survives on debt. Why can't we live within
    our own means ? "Social programs" ? Too
    many bribes to allied/other countries ?
    Massive corruption/theft ?
