According to the realtor CorcoranrCOs website, 14 of the apartments
in the Flatiron are already in contract. The cheapest, on the
third floor, appears to have been bought for $10,950,000: the buyer
will get a three bedroom, three bathroom apartment with a not-large
open plan kitchen and rCLgreat roomrCY. There are also two dressing
    rooms.

The flagship apartment, however, is the one which occupies the
entirety of the top floor. In contract for $58.5m, the floorplan
of the five bedroom, five bathroom apartment depicts a sauna,
two dressing rooms, a dining room and a breakfast room, and a
72ft rCLgreat roomrCY. It is unclear who has bid on the apartment.

    . . .

58 MILLION for an apartment ???

Mamdani's commies are gonna GUT people who
    have that much to spend.

However, good to see the odd old building
re-used. The new look includes exposing
the steel frame on the inside.

The structure had a 'nefarious' past - with a rep
for causing a wind that would blow up the skirts
of good xian/puritan women. Some guys made windy
days a holiday outside the building, just to watch :-)

Why not? It's the world famous Flatiron building.

Are you surprised somehow that billionaires can afford such luxuries?
Why do you think they keep pushing Congress for more and more tax
    cuts?

Mamdani's commies are gonna GUT people who
    have that much to spend.

They might excoriate them in speech but that's all they'll do. Even
Mandami will realize the city can't afford a massive outflux of
    wealthy homeowners.

A messenger on a bicycle was blown out into the middle of Fifth Ave
where he was struck by a car and later died.

One of my favorite NYC historical properties.
Once on a geometry test the teacher offered extra credit if a student
knew what type of triangle the Flatiron build was shaped like. However, you would lose points if you guessed and got it wrong.

Because of my interest in the building since I was a kid, I knew it was
a scalene right triangle. Most people assume that because of the name
    it's an isosceles triangle.
    Extra credit for me!
    Woo hoo.

No doubt it will be on his radar however someone with that amount of
money will have no problem fighting city hall.

    That is a fact.
It's also where the slang term 23 skidoo or 23 scram was used, but I don't believe
    it was the origin though.

I tried to find the EXACT dimensions of the
building on the net. Nothing super exact alas.
They'd suggest just a sharp regular triangle,
    not a right-scalar.
