This week, the Democratic Socialists of America completed step one of
the Leninist playbook: eat the Mensheviks. That's exactly what happened
on Tuesday, when three Mamdani-backed Democratic Socialists won their
New York primaries (against already insanely progressive candidates) on platforms that basically amount to hating America. In response, the
Democratic establishment didanothing.

If it hasn't hit you yet, allow me to be the messenger: The Democratic
Party of your parents is gone. Heck, the Democratic Party of ten years
ago is gone.

The new litmus test for Democratic Party loyalty is straightforward:
abolish prisons, abolish borders, abolish the entire Department of
Defense, #FreePalestine, raise taxes as a matter of course, and trans surgeries for minors as a matter of right.

I wish I were exaggerating.

Expect to hear up-and-coming Democratic candidates repackage their
radicalism as great concern about "affordability" over the coming
months.

In the meantime, President Trump spent his week warning Iran not to
screw with the United States or our alliesuin fact, he greenlit more
strikes just this afternoon to prove his point. Secretary of State
Rubio spent his week working the phones to help our Gulf allies destroy Hezbollah in Lebanon. And Tucker Carlson made everyone's life easier by self-deporting from the GOP altogether. We bid him farewell.

As we head into another week, all I can guarantee is that things are
going to get even stupider from here.

We need to purge the party of "let's
work with the Republicans" pansies like
Fetterman and Clinton and Lieberman. We
need politicians willing to stand up to
the MAGAs and the lobbyists and Israel.
If the neither the Republicans nor
Democrats will deliver what the public
wants - Medicare for all, gun control,
abortion rights, proper education
funding, tax fairness, open government -
then a 3rd party is called for.
