• Many Names For Graham Replacement

    From c186282@c186282@nnada.net to talk.politics.misc,alt.politics.usa,alt.fan.rush-limbaugh,alt.politics.trump on Sun Jul 12 23:36:43 2026

There's to be a "temporary" replacement until
the fall elections, then a permanent one.

    MANY names immediately came up.

Nancy Mace (R-House) really wants it.
    She's pretty good.

However even Nikki Haley has been mentioned.
    Also pretty good.

Alas I'm not sure the younger gen can really,
properly, replace Graham. He'd become a
"statesman" - rare these days - interested
in the Big Picture for the USA.

The modern younger pols, alas, tend to be too
partisan - only seeing part of the Big Picture.

Without a Big Picture we're kinda DOOMED.

The Declaration and Constitution and Federalist
Papers once provided the needed Big Picture.
The latter gens barely even know what those ARE.
    Adrift.

    Our enemies are delighted.

If you don't know your past then you have no
    road to a future.

Hmmm ... east of the Mississippi, learn some
Russian. West of that, learn some Mandarin -
esp how to say "Yes Master !".

    Conservative double standards
    go back a long way.

    Adultery, draft dodging, shady
investment scams, pardons - all fine
if a Republican does it, a scandal if
a Democrat does the same thing.

Nobody is one block of harmony. We are all afraid of something, or feel limited in something. We all need somebody to talk to. It would be good
    if we talked to each other--not just pitter-patter, but real talk. We shouldn't be so afraid, because most people really like this contact;
that you show you are vulnerable makes them free to be vulnerable too.
It's so much easier to be together when we drop our masks.

Not with your usual bullshit though, with facts.

However, the article is full of "could be", "might happen" and so forth.
So why don't other countries step up and help?
Why should the US be burdened with this money pit?

It was less than 1% of the federal budget.

Why should the US be burdened with billions for vanity projects for
Donald Trump and $1.8 billion of taxpayer money for his Jan. 6 slush
    fund?

Saving over 90 million lives around the world in underdeveloped
countries is a more noble use of government money to reasonable people
    (which lets you out).

    <standing ovation>

For the price of the Iran war (so far), Trump could instead have
approved the health care subsidies for the next three years.
