On Wednesday, the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool drama got as thick as
the poolrCOs algae when Park Police posted a notice to X asking for the publicrCOs help identifying an alleged vandal.
The post also provides a video of the supposed crime. The footage, which
is shot from a distance and is pretty blurry, shows a person reaching
into the pool and pulling something out rCo and thatrCOs it.
The reason why Park Police seem so invested in finding the person in
this seemingly innocent video is likely linked to President Donald
TrumprCOs claims that vandals are to blame for why the $14 million
rCLAmerican flag bluerCY coating he had installed in the pool is now peeling as algae turns the water a toxic-looking shade of green.

This Reflecting Pool disaster was created by Trump. If anyone is to
blame it is him, he turned a normal pool into a cesspool.
If you ask anyone with a little knowledge, they would tell you painting
a shallow pool dark blue would increase the water temperature and
promote rapid algae growth. That is exactly what happened. Prosecuting
someone for putting their hands in the water is not a crime. Trump does
not own the pool, what he did to the pool is the crime. He should have
asked the peoplerCOs permission to paint the poolrCOs base. We have godrCOs given right to touch any water in this country.
If I were near the pool, I would haul out a slab of the peeling paint as
a souvenir to remind myself that Trump is a sTaBlE GeNiUs.
